My day will be spent taking my grandson Nathan to the Dr. He looks like he has the mumps! He has had all required shots, but he is in pain. He looks like a chipmunk in his left cheek! He can not even open his mouth to eat. Poor kid... That's at 10:15!
We have 6 days of school left after today! I am so looking forward to summer break.
Well gotta get the kids ready to head for Peoria.

Update on Nathan, it's not the mumps. He has a bacterial infection in the gland in his neck, Doctor said it's serious. If it's not and better by  Thursday morning he will be admitted in the hospital so he can see a ears, nose and throat doc right away. He has a puss pocket in there as big as golf ball. He's on some strong antibiotics.
Now his 2 yr old sister is running a fever. At least its not something we can catch.. Well just wanted to share..

((HUGS)) to Nathan, sis and you.  I will say a prayer that he gets better w/ the meds and does not have to face being in the hospital.

Please keep us updated.

Good morning!

It sounds like everyone had a good weekend. Those long ones are great aren't they? Of course I won't know what day it is all week.

Take care and enjoy today!

I have a new view from my balcony this afternoon.  They came and cut down a tree just ten foot off my balcony.  Do not know if it's root system was threatening to comprimise the foundation or what.  I enjoyed looking at it but there are plenty of others to look at.  This one hosted a flock of very noisy early rising birds summer before last.  Last year they came and spent one night in it but then a thunderstorm and strong winds convinced them a larger tree might make a better home.  I have seen a few of them early this year but not the whole flock yet.  Sounds like they are clearing the other big bushes that touch the building now.

I called to get a referal for the cardio and psych from my pcp.  Was told I would have to call the number on my insurance card for the psych.
