Ruby Tuesday ROLL CALL
Dave, your new TV sounds wonderful!! We are still using one that my hubby bought way back in 95 and it's very boxy and it takes 3 guys to lift!! lol It's a 32" I think way too small for nowadays...lol
You'll have to let us know what's playing at your "theater"! lol
Please keep Dee in your prayers today while she deals with the passing of her mom last night. Hugs to you my friend
Today I have NO plans at all...woohoo....no kids to pick up after school they can all take the bus home! yay. I will do homework, clean and work on my puzzle again. Austyn does have a psych appt after school, but Mike takes him.
However, I am asking for prayers for 2 people in my life today as well. First, my aunt was recovering from knee replacement surgery and feel down the stairs at her house and now has a compression fracture of 2 vertabrae in her back. She will need surgery to fix it and it comes with lots of risks.
Second, please keep Tyler and Jacob's new baby sister in your prayers as well. She's got one eye that is bulging. It is very noticable and they have an appt on Friday for her. When I saw and held her yesterday I coould only keep thinking she's got some kind of tumor behind her right eye. Pray that it's nothing please! Thanks
Everyone have a wonderful, warm and safe day today!
What movies are scheduled for this week-end at the Dave Theater?
I can bring popcorn.
The kids should be here in about 8 hours. I can't wait to see my grandsons....I'm sure they are bigger than the last pictures they sent me. Once they all start going to school there will be no visits in February....boohoo....We'll just have to go out there.
Not much on the agenda for today...must run to the grocery store for a few items.....and vacuum the house. Maybe I'll make a quick run to Target.....hmmm what will I buy?
Keeping my Illinois family in my prayers.
Hoping those who are ill will be feeling better.
Hoping those going for surgery have an uneventful surgery and a quick recovery.
Hoping those who lost a family member or friend my sympathy. May your heart be filled with great memories to ease your sadness.
Keep safe on your travels today.
Good morning!
I bet we get the award for the smallest TV. I think our biggest one is 20" and we have two more that are smaller. In fact, I've been looking for an 8" for the kitchen.
Support group was fun last night. It is always great to see everyone!
I am looking out the window this morning as I type and seeing the birds on the feeder starting to come in to their breeding plumage. Spring will happen one of these days, even if it snows later today.
Wishing good thoughts today to everyone who is sick or struggling. We both have had the cold crud too but are on our way to recovery.
Have a great day!

I haven't heard anything about it, but many of the folks I know have gone to Madison for surgery as I did. Maybe someone else on this board who went there will say something. I know Harvard has changed docs a lot compared to UW Madison.
Where are you living now? Still in IL?

My vote would have been to have the surgery there but she chose Mexico for reasons that escaped me. It certainly did not save money in the long run. As I recall my question to her was about "Where will you get follow-up care?"
I have sort of gone home. I live in the town I graduated from high school in. There aren't many folks around here for a support system though. Most of the MN people on the messageboard are from north by the twin cities area. I guess if I sought out support in Iowa it might be closer. My DH is supportative and will join me in exercise and goes along with my food plan adding the carbs and stuff he needs to go with it. Doris
PM me if you would like to "talk" further.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
