Edwardsville IL support group?
Hi everybody!
I have recently moved back to IL from Sioux City Iowa. And, I have come to the conclusion that IL's board here is WONDERFUL compared to NE, IA, and SD ! Kudos to everyone here!
I am about a year and a half post op and looking to get involved in a support group. I know I have seen posts on this board regarding one in this area, but of course when I want to find the thread I cannot locate it. Can anyone help me find the information? Thanks!

Welcome Home Sherri.
We are very proud of our board and of all that make it a great board. Please join us for our daily roll call. I am not from your area, but i grew up in the Metro East area. There are a few here from your area, and the best one to tell you would be Dee. Shes in Wood River.
Again, we are glad you found us.

What school do you go to? I am attending SIUE, with 8 classes to go till I graduate....YIPEEE!!!!
I cant hardly wait!!! Anyway, Im still searching and hoping someone will post some useful information about this. I used to hang out in Carlyle back in the day... and I know a few people yet that live there.

That is a good idea to start on ourselves. I know one other here at work that had it along time ago. I am attending Kaskaskia and graduate in May with my assoc and then I will transfer to Siue in the fall. That is sooooo cool what are you going to school for? By the time I graduate I will be ready to retire, but oh well, I stay to busy now to retire LOL I just turned 50 and I am riding horses, drive a horse and wagon and have fun. I am at a standstill and wish I could get this weight to move, maybe as the weather changes I will get out more. I still ride in this weather. Anyone from the area give me a yell I love meeting new people and like to have a support group. My name is Dawn give me a yell.

Dear Sheri:
Welcome home!
I am not from your area either, but maybe it is time to start your own support group! From your responses, it sounds like you have enough friends to get together once a month and chat about issues. That's what we did here in the Rockford area. We did not have one, so we started one!
We met last night, and there were 7 in attendance, and we had a good meeting. Just goes to show that you don't need 100 people packed into a room for good support.
Good luck!
