Good Morning on this sunny but cold Monday.

Randy, hold tight. Your day will come. We all have bad days and bad months (eating wise).

I am off again today. This is going to be a short work week for me. I only have to work 2 days this week. But, then we have no more holidays until Memorial Day.

All I have planned for today is to go to the apartment and help clean it up a bit. Then maybe start on trim wood. Also, stop at Aldi's for a few things. I want to bake a few things this weekend with the GD. So, a trip to Aldi's is called for.

Have a great day, and stay safe and warm.

Huggers,
LISA

Hi Lisa,
Have fun shopping at Aldi's today. I was there yesterday getting some things I don't normally keep in the house. Won't tell you how much I spent...just way too much. Have to have snacks and things for the grandchildren when they come to stay for the week.
When Mike's family is here so is Jackie and her family....9 extra people this week....oh my God!

I slept in this morning, sleeping in for me is 630ish. I am one of those that gets today off. I used to hate it so early in the year for a holiday but this weekend I am loving it as I got a lot done and today after I do a couple loads of wash and one more room to vacuum - then I am going to sit at the sewing machine and finish the two projects for my sister so they can be mailed off. After that I am going to start on the fleece vest that I have cut out.

I have all my container garden planned out, seeds or plants ordered from Burpee and also know what other container supplies to purchase to round out everything for when mid May arrives I can start planting.

Vacuuming  & thisLaundry and then I can sew!

PS it seems like the Presidents Weedend has become nothing but a "sales" holiday for retailers, like the Hallmark sales for the other quasi holidays. Too many car ads!!

Good Morning All -

Oh how I wish today was a holiday for me.  I could use another day off.  Nothing much to report.  I'm working both jobs all week so I will not have anything exciting happening in my life.  Work and more work.  My cold only lasted a couple of days so I'm very thankful for that.

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Good morning folks!

I'm pretty recovered from my cold although I didn't do much over the weekend. Kay and I don't do Valentine's Day other than a card because our anniversary is next week (23 years) and the meal prices aren't jacked up on that weekend!

I finished a summer sweater and am half way thru the next one. We will be hitting warm weather in March when we travel so I need to finish the second one.

I had a physical Friday and everything is fine and the NP is pleased with my progress. Of course I want it to be faster. That figures!

Looking forward to support group tonight! Hope many of you will be there!

Good Morning Everyone!

I am on day eleven of my protein meal replacement and it starting to get to me.  When I started I thought the protein drinks weren't that bad.  I am now to the point when I practically gag when I think of drinking one.  Friday is my surgery and I am doing what the doc said for the preop diet but it is getting harder everyday.

Enough whining.   I hope everyone has a great day!

Lori -
When things seem unbearable and you don't think you can drink one more.. Just think of that reward on Friday!  You can it    Friday will be here before you know it.

Hang in there.

Hi Lori!

Hang in there, keeping your eye on the prize!

Shake things up a bit with those drinks.......add sugar free flavoring syrups, blend with ice, have them hot........there are a million ways to enjoy protein!  I know it gets old, but try to make them new and exciting!

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I had an interesting weekend.  We got about 3-4 inches of snow Friday night while we were in Pecatonica.  Driving home at 11 pm was pretty scary as there had been no plows out and the road was very hard to see.  Of course, most of it is gone now.

Liv has been sick since last Thursday with stomach flu.  She seems recovered from that, but now has upper respiratory symptoms---coughing like crazy!  My cold is finally better, but Todd has picked it up.  David was complaining of a sinus headache on Friday, but he says that it is better now.

Todd and I went to dinner with our friends/neighbors on Saturday night and it was wonderful.  We had a very nice time doing something we don't usually get a chance to do (just us adults....)

Yesterday, I was taking a nap when my sister-in-law called to remind me that I was supposed to be at a Ladies Bond Dinner at a club that we all belong to.  Soooooooo...up from the nap and back into Rockford to eat.  Then back home to bed again.  Whatever virus I have has been making me very tired.

Tonight, I am looking forward to seeing you all at the Rockford Group.  Since we missed last month, it seems like FOREVER since I've seen my Rockford Group friends.

Nothing else too exciting for me.  I am keeping you all in my thoughts and hoping that things get better soon for everyone.

Have a splendid day!
