Good morning Illinois,
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day. Earl & I went to a show and late lunch/early dinner, then home to relax. Today Cheyanne sings at church so I am getting ready to go listen to my sweet little granddaughter sing her part. She loves to sing! They are singing "My God is an Awesome God" and that sums it up for me.
Lots of appts this week for Earl, physical therapy 2 days, labs, Doc at the VA and then his PCP. Add in the girls school and misc goings on and my time will be scarce this week. Seems to be my life now days. I have to have my labs done this week too. I see the endocrinologist in the 26th about this Thyroid Nodule gain. I am feeling it more and having more trouble swallowing and finding a sleeping position where I don't feel like my throat is closing...... I had an ultrasound in August and a biopsy and she wanted to wait awhile before deciding to do anything about it. Since it is bothering me more I'm thinking I need to push her on the issue now.

Today is church, I made cake for the morning afterglow and we are having a partner's celebration tonight that I'm making pasta for. I love to cook even though I can't eat most of it. I have to be very careful of sugars because they make me very sick.
When I was on a business trip two weeks ago, I got very sick on some granola that I had for breakfast. I was talking and not paying attention put the grranola in a bowl from a dispenser and dumped my yogurt on top. Ate it and thought boy that was really good, but on the way to work on the bus I got sick and thought I would throw up. The yogurt had chocolate and coconut in it and since then I have been really careful not to eat anything like that.
Anyway wanted to check in since I hadn't been here for a while.

It has been over ten days since I last posted...other than my quick fly-by yesterday. Well here is the saga....I thought my computer had a virus. Took it to Geek Squad....told them what happened.....cost $199.99 to look at it and remove the virus.....will call me when its ready......they had it 10 days. I called them(day 10) and they tell me they ran a diagnostic yesterday........ said I had a bad hard drive...need to replace it...cost $100 for hard drive...$50 to install. I tell them I'll get back to them.......I call my son and he says why did you take it in...Tony's a computer geek, he could check it out for you....and after talking with Tony....he says new hard drives don't need to cost that much....long story short.....I didn't have a virus........There was something on my computer but he was able to remove it because it hadn't downloaded and the geek squad just wanted me to either get a new hard drive or buy another computer. Luckily I only ended up paying for the diagnostic test and not for everything .... I'm not so sure they know what they are doing......
Now it will take me a few days to get caught up reading all the posts from the last ten days.
I did get my new tattoo. Will post pictures when I get them. It took longer than I thought it would to fini**** I had to sit still for over two hours, When I got up I felt like I wet my pants I was sweating so much.
My son and his family will be here in a few days. I can't wait to see them. Hope to be caught up with all of your lives again real soon.
Dave...I spent three hours at the dealer yesterday.....I got a new car!

It is a nice sunny morning outside today! Cold, but sunny! Today I think I will go to the Y to work out. I did not make it yesterday. I ended up going out to lunch with a friend that I havent seen in a while then went grocery shopping.
Our pool at the Y closes at 4pm on the weekends so there was no time after my lunch to go so that means today is my day.
Other than that, no special plans. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning,
No big plans for today. I will finish cleaning the upstairs. I stayed up late last night and cleaned the downstairs real good! I bought the Hoover Floor Mate that cleans hard floors at Kohls yesterday and let me tell ya....that thing works GOOD!!!! I also bought some organizer caddys at Walmart and I'm going to do all the cabinets. Oh-God...organizing, label makers....I'm in heaven!! I'm feeling better. Not 100%, but better than the other day. Tomorrow we are headed down to Danville,Il for my Uncle's funeral. He had a massive stroke last week and he died on Friday. He was 64 years old:(

Hello everyone
I just got back from Tennesse. I feel like I was gone for a year. Its nice to be back home. We are trying to get my dad to move back to Illinois with us. We all said good bye to my mom and I feel at peace with the whole situation now. I feel like she is in a better place watching over us all now. I'm mored worried about my dad. He will be so lonely down there.
On the good side my dad started to talk to me about how worried he is about me and my health. I finally told him about the surgery. I told him I didn't say anything because I thought he would worry too much. But he was really happy for me. Before I left he told me to have my surgery and get healthy.
Thank you guys for all of your wonderful messages. It really helped knowing I had so many people thinking and praying for me.
