Good morning Connie and IL family.

Sorry to hear that Connie and Kim are sick with a cold.

I guess that I have that to be thankful for at least at the moment.

It's mighty chilly here with lows in the upper 30's. I think today we should hit the 60's. We had some sun yesterday but the winds were up, making it a chilly day. I did have some pool time, finally!

I can't wait to get home and put this trip behind me.

Hoping that everyone has a great day.

Hugs,
Lucy

Hi everyone,

I hope the sickness does not last long for any of you.  Knock on wood, I've managed to stay healthy so far.  I did get a flu shot in early November. Today, I am making sure my students are up-to-date with all their work.  I also have meetings with two parents to discuss their placement levels for high school next year.  For the most part my parents do understand where their kids fall academically and are not expecting them to go into high level classes.

Stay dry everyone and have a good day.

Good Morning Connie and the rest of my IL family,

Connie, I am sorry you are getting sick.  We are all finally better here in the house...knock on wood!!  It was terrible.

As for me today...nothing planned.  The weather is poopy outside with all the rain, even the puppers didn't want to go out at first, but their bladders won them over and they ran out, did their business and hurried back in!  lol  They crack me up.

I will just do some cleaning and homework today mainly.  that's it around here!

Have a wonderful, warm, safe and stay as dry as you can day today!

Monica

Good morning IL-move over Connie and Kim-share the couch w/me.  Caught the pestilence going around work.  Staying away from Eddie so her doesn't get it.  I was fortunate enough to be able negotiate a really super deal w/my boss-I start full time 3-2 and we wiil be insured as of 3-1.  Got into a BCBS HMO w/no pre/existing wait period so Eddie will be covered from the start.  They pay for me-I pay for Eddie and a substantial raise too.  God closes a door and opens a window-I just have to make sure Eddie doesn't jump out of it!!!  Haven't told him yet-if you hear a loud BOOM in the Lombard you'll know it's him!!!  Gotta do what I gotta do-everyone have a good day and feel better Kim and Connie.  Big hugs to you all-Janet K

I told my DW on Saturday that when God opens a window I don't particularly like it since we are on the sixth floor.  I guess Iam supposed to stop on the balcony.  Our windows are actually patio doors.

Good morning - I am sorry everyone is so sick.

I have an interview with a local TV station today on the new CyberBullying Law that went into effect on Jan 1 and then to a Group Home to talk with adults with Developmental and Physical Disabilities.  We will be talking about public vs. private behavior today which is always interesting   They are my favorite group to work with - of all the schools I am at.

So I am buffing up on the law and making sure my outfit doesn't look to big!

Have a great day - those with a cold - if you are stuffed up try the SHOWER SOOTHERS (at Walgreen's).  I love them and you don't have to take a thing to get some relief!

Good morning Connie and the rest of Illinois!

I am sorry to hear that you and Kim and Janet are all dealing with a bad cold.  I still have a sore throat, but I don't really feel "bad", just tired.  Hopefully, it won't get any worse for me and get much better for all of you.

Last night, Riley came over for a while and made us all smile.  She is so cool!  Liv started her cupcake business, and I helped her a little bit and learned how to do cupcakes without licking my fingers.  She did 4 dozen and did a wonderful job.  They are beautiful and almost look good enough to eat (but NOT WORTH IT!!!!)  She should have the money for her trips before very long.  She will need to make a bunch more for advertising to the neighbors because she promised all the extras from last night to her teachers.

I am working today, then home to the bike.  David has track practice and Todd has a Scout thing tonight, so I am thinking about what to make for dinner.

I am wishing you all great days!

Good morning dear friends,

I was up at 4:45 this am and couldn't get back to sleep.  Could be because I fell asleep in my chair last night before 10 pm..... Oh well, got off to a busy start and then came home and thought I'd check email etc and spent  an hour on   Facebook.....wow how quickly time passes online.... Now I have to rush to get caught up before taking Samantha to school.  Earl is helping with the laundry,  gotta love him!!!

Not starting out with a good food day, need to get back on track. I had shredded wheat at 6 am and then oatmeal at 9 am.  way too many carbs early in the day....

I use sugar free Cold Eze when I have a cold. If I start  them early they really seem to nip it in the bud for me.  The girls have colds and I'm hoping we don;t catch them along with the pink eye they are sharing....  Lots of hand washing and sanitizer going on here.

Janet congratulations on the job and insurance!!

Hugs, Paulette

Ps don't think I'll make it to the get together.  I think that is when we will be down south.

Morning All -

The couch is full.. I'm feeling sick too.  I have to go into Doc Rosens office to get my B-12 shot shortly so I'll ask what they think I should take.  I'm always scared to take anything but Liquid Tylenol and that is not going to help this time.  I made the mistake of opening up windows over the weekend and I think it was just a little too cool.  I did however, wear my coat unlike many people.  Oh well, perhaps I can nip it quickly.

Nothing else going on.  Just shipping out Valentine and Birthday gifts to the girls.  My Madison will be eight on Saturday.  Where does the time go??

Have a great day everyone.
Christina
