Friday Roll Call
Monica,
I admire the way your family works together and shares the joys across the board. That can't always be easy to do.
Good luck on the van. Our 10-year old minivan just pooped out in December, so we had to scrape our pennies together and get a "new to us" one.

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!
HW: 344 lbs CW: 150 lbs
Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
Thank you Nicolle, let me be honest it wasn't always this way. The first several years that my ex and I divorced were hell. Then I woke up one day and realized that it was only hurting the boys. We gradually talked more and now we are much better friends than we ever were. Yes, we are all very excited about the new baby! lol It's fun! It's just too bad that they live just over an hour away though! I wish the boys could spend more time together with their dad's family
Good morning to everyone,
Lucy, A little rain never hurt anyone. Enjoy the rest of your trip. It sounds like things are looking up a little for everyone. I hope all continues to go well especially on the job front. I am extremely lucky that I teach and have tenure. My husband is in computers and survived the last round of layoffs at his company. About 6 years ago, he was out for over a year.
The OH meeting in July sounds great. It will be nice to see people from the forum. Have a good day everyone and let's get this thaw started.

Good Morning to all the Early Birds.
Its wear RED for Womans Heart Health Day, all you that know me, know my heart problem background, so please wear red today for support.
Lucy, the rain will go away and you will have a wonderful week.
Dave, it's your day to work, me, I am doing errands, working on taxes, and anything else that DH decides he needs me to do. Maybe going to work would be easier!
Connie, enjoy your knitting.
Nancy, good for you. The Y is a good thing.
Monica, I love being stuck at home.
Aleece, Have fun with your students today.
Paul, see, something always comes up.
BTW, the Nicor bills are being delivered. So are all the Amerien companies. No one read meters in January, so they are all higher then normal, besides the weather was colder. Hopefully we can get a break shortly with the utilities.

Lisa, I didn't know you had a heart history. I had a heart attack three years ago and so I wore red today and my little red dress pin. I had my third year check up on Wed and I don't have to go back for TWO years this time! Hope you are doing well too!

Good morning Lucy and the rest of Illinois!
Sorry about the rain Lucy, but hopefully, today will be a brighter day for you as well as Paul (and everyone actually.....)
I am working this morning, then going out to get the kids then back in to the hotel. It is Todd's big "Christmas" party weekend. I am looking forward to relaxing by the pool (after doing my laps, of course....)
Liv and I went and checked out the Pec Playhouse last night and it is nice. We got a chance to see the "preview" of the current show ("The Odd Couple"---female version) and it looked to be pretty good. We did not stay for all of it as we needed to get home, finish packing and get to bed. We will see the whole show next Friday when we usher. If anyone in the area is looking for inexpensive entertainment for the next 3 weekends, this might just do it if you enjoy live theater. Tickets are only $10.00 each.
It looks like we will be rolling up our sleeves and helping out there. They already have a high school aged youth committee, but have been trying to start a middle school committee. They asked if we would be interested in helping to put that together. We are going to look into it.......who am I kidding....we will do it! I am like fresh meat to people looking for volunteers! I have no problem helping out with things that my kids are interested in doing. I wish I would have had that kind of support when I was younger.
It IS getting time for another get-together. Anyone have any ideas?
I won't be around over the weekend, so you all have fun, enjoy the weather and behave yourselves!
