XP - Post-op insurance problem update

Some of you saw my post late last week about the problems I was having with United Health Care not paying my surgeons bill and the calls I was getting from my surgeon's office.  http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/rny/3849990/xp-Post-op-ins urance-frustration/

On Thursday I filed a phone complaint with the US Dept of Labor.  The agent was going to call the HR dept at the company.

Today I got a phone call from the company's HR dept and  she is going to personally track my case and it is being sent to the company's vendor manager.  I guess UHC is in the hot seat now.  In fact, all of the insurance issues I brought up with the Dept of Labor are being addressed now (some are non-surgery related). 

Hopefully the ball is rolling and it will be resolved soon.

As a side note...I was told my someone who has UHC through Kraft that they are having the identical problem I'm having.

My first thought is Oh great.... UHC is my new insurer as of Jan 1st....  sorry I am being selfish since I am pre-op. 

I hope it all gets straightened out for you.
