WEDNESDAY ROLL CALL, LUCY'S DEPARTURE
Hi Natalie:
It IS a hard thing, but you must do what is right for your son. My oldest had a similar situation recently. She just went with a very nice version of the truth......she told the sitter that Riley was ready for more of a pre-school type atmosphere with more emphasis on learning than the sitter was able to provide.
This was VERY true as she had the same issues with her sitter----too much TV, shopping, etc. She did not dwell on the negatives with the sitter, just kind of shifted the responsibility to herself and the fact that the child was ready to LEARN. As far as I know, they still have an OK relationship.
Good luck!

I sauted turnips in a bit of olive oil , added onions, and they were so good and looked like potatoes too, I felt like I was cheating. I used small turnips and they weren't as strong tasting as I remembered turnips to be, Can the peeling be left on turnips too? Next time I'm going to crumble some bacon bits and a little cheddar on top. I saw a recipe on the low carb site for pizza with the crust made of cauliflower, it could be held in hand. Looked very good.
Hey Illinois OH Gang,
I spent yesterday testing for the census jobs. Huge effort for a part time job but I enjoyed doing it. I still need to go online and finish up a lot of things they do not tell you about ahead of time, in their flyer, for the supervisory positions.
Afterward I picked up DW and we drove down to China Town to find some whole roast duck, bbq pig and chinese veggies. I am often like a pregnant women. I get in my mind the desire for specific foods. Until I actually have that food I eat to much of other things I try to sustitute. This of course slows my weight loss. That is an area I hope a psych will be able to help me with because post op that will not be something I can do.

Hello all,
Lucy have a wonderful trip. Enjoy the warm weather...wish I was there. I am so cold and nothing I do seems to help. I have the heat way up, the extra heater on by my desk, a sweater and long johns on and 2 pairs of socks..and a cuppa hot tea....Earl is wearing a short sleeve shirt, sweating and complaining about how hot it is in the house. It's 70 degrees in here. I don't see the endocrinologist again till the 25th.
I read all the posts this am and there were quite alot, but of course now most have jumbled together in my mind, so please forgive me. Maybe I have icicles in my brain!!
Best thoughts for those who need them and happy hugs to all.

Hi All,
Just a quick check in to let you all know that I am reading everyday but overwhelmed with decisions about Noah that I have not posted lately.
I have finally hit the 80 pound mark, now 20 more to go for that 100! Got to get moving more, but the stress here is horrendous! Just trying to make it thru the day making good decisions. Very hard.
Lucy, If you read this.....HAVE A GREAT TIME IN CALIFORNIA!
Everyone else, I miss you all, and hope to be back regularly soon.
