Ava and Vince spent the night last night and are watching Barney right now....yeah,....I get a few minutes to post. Mom will be here to pick them up after 4PM today. She left me no car seats so I guess we are grounded....no shopping for us today. Nothing to do today but play games with the grandchildren....

Good morning everyone,
The weekend was good...I went to pick up my wedding rings--I had to have them resized, down two sizes. I hope it wasn't to early, but I couldn't stand not wearing them any longer.
Went to Walmart Saturday morning--what a mess. You would think it was the day before Christmas and everyone waited until the last minute to shop. People were grabbing stuff off the shelf like it was the very last time they would ever be able to shop. People's carts were full of chips, beer, and cheese sauces. That would have been my cart last year. Funny how in just a short year your life can change so dramatically. This year, my cart had ground turkey (93-7); light yogurt; no fat cottage cheese; and egg beaters.
We (my husband and I) watched the superbowl yesterday. I will admit, I am not a football fan, I don't really understand it. I pick out who I want to win by their uniform . I was rooting for the Cardinals--that was the mascot for my son's high school and the colors matched. My husband only wants to watch that one game so how can I complain about that.
I am excited, though, about NASCAR season. Daytona practice begins this week. I should be a Michael Waltrip fan because my son-in-law works for him and is on his pit crew, but I am a true Mark Martin fan, always have been, always will be, no matter who he drives for.

We had people over for the Superbowl - I made Sassy Chili with round steak, guacamole, goat cheese and pesto dip, and had some salsa. I also make chocolate chip brownies.
We all ate and everyone left by the second quarter. None of us are real football fans unless the Bears are playing. Plus every Sunday the three families get together anyway for dinner. One family hosts and makes everything, the other two families just bring beverages if they want alcohol. This was my first dinner since the surgery - they other two families just went back & forth until I was ready to cook again. There are 6 adults, one 10 year old, three 3 year olds, and 2 babies under 12 months, so we pack the house. The kids get to play, and all the adults get to have a nice Sunday meal and you only have to cook once every three weeks. It's great. I was tuckered out by the time everyone left at 8 so I put DS to bed and then popped in a movie in my bedroom, knit a while and then fell asleep.
Things are good here - down another few pounds and I am going to join the Y tomorrow. I would do it today but DS has gymnastics.

me I am groing to venture out to Walmart to get some yogurt. I can only tolerate light yougurt from yopoait and it has to be the boston cream pie one or the cinimon roll one cause I cant taste a thing. good weight loss tool!!!!!!!
I am going to Denver on march 2nd for 10 days. Cant wait. I only hope I can walk the airports.
I fly from Tampa to Dallas then Denver and back. Should be interesting.
We are going to be sonow birds in June or July or both. We are going to base ourselves out of Chicago and stay with our kid in an one bedroom apartment with 5 cats. Should be interesting!!!!!! I told my kid her dad and I were comming for a month to 6 weeks. She told me I had to buy the groceries. I said that is ok by me........
Monica threaten to take your husband to work everyday so you can have the car. That always works for me. See how fast hell get your van fixed or get you another one!!!!!!!
If I was there Id let you use one of our cars we have 3 sitting here and we only have 2 drivers!!!!!!
