Friday Roll Call
Good Morning Everyone. Its bright and sunny today, even if it is super cold, again.
After all my venting about not wanting to help DH with wallpaper yesterday, I did go up to the apartment and and strip a wall for him. I kinda felt sorry for him since he asked me to in such a sad voice. I will be going up there again today, but not until later.
My DD is bringing her furbabies down for Grandma to watch for the next week. They have to go to Austin, Texas for a family er. SILs dad has lung cancer and they don't know how long he has. It will be nice having them here.
No plans for this weekend. Just some errands tomorrow and some cooking. I want to make Dawn's cheesecake filling. It sounds yummy.Anytime we can get protein in...... is a good thing. .

Randy, my condolences on the loss of your friend. That is always hard.
Amber called me very early this morning to tell me that her (natural paternal) grandfather may be dying. He is pretty old and has had dementia/Alzheimer's for many years and it looks like he may be about ready to leave us. She is ambivalent about this as she is not very close with him any more. I will be there for her no mater what happens.
Todd is picking Riley up after he gets off of work so she can come to Rock City for a day or two. We are very excited to have her and hopefully have set up a play date with Jack, our neighbor who is 1 1/2.
I am hurrying home after work to get my bike ride in, then clean up my closet. It is now overflowing and I have no room for the clothes that I am wearing, so a clean out is in order. That, and the fact that the appraiser is coming tomorrow gives me incentive.
That is it for me and I am thinking of all of you at all times, it seems.......

Randy, I am very sorry about your friend...you are in my thoughts and prayers as is your friend.
I am meeting with 3rd graders today and we are talking about gun safety and the 'always ask first rule'. Should be pretty fun. I have candy to give out too and that always goes over well!
Not much this weekend - DH and I are going to a Rivermen game on Saturday night, we alwasy have a great time and it is for my BIL's birthday (SURPRISE) so that will be super fun. We shall see how I fit in the seats this year. It was this time last year that we went to the game last year and I was pretty uncomfortable - but now I am over 50 lbs lighter, so I hope it will be a little more bearable!

Hi Randy and my Illinois friends.
Randy, my condolences on the loss of your friend. I lost one of my closest friends at thanksgiving and not a day goes by that I don't think of her and miss her.
Got off to a good start food wise this am. Had a protein shake in the car on the way to Jen's & school. Trying to get the s/f stuff and carbs back under control. And up the protein and water.
M-W-F are such busy days for us, go, go ,go both girls have school so that makes for 6 trips back and forth from school. Cheyanne has a field trip today to Disney On Ice so she was super hyper this am. Sami is disappointed that she couldn't go, but we reminded her that she got to go on field trips her sister couldn't go on, so that seemed to settle her down. We stopped at Kmart on the way home from school to pick up some vitamins etc and tax software so I can get that done this weekend. Sunday we are going to a Super Bowl Party at daughter #2's house, should be about 30 people so it should be fun.
I spoke to Carla a few minutes ago, they had trouble with her blood pressure again last night. So they upped her Synthroid to 150mg and started another IV. She said they told he she wouldn't be going home today and not until they can get her bp regulated.

The wife and I have finally nailed down appts for the Pumonolgist, and Cardiologist. We just need to square away the psychologist and will have completed the preliminary doctor visits. My latest headache has been dealing with my dental insurance company and the headaches of a chipped tooth. Apparently the cavity was huge which lead to a root canal at a Endodontist. After returning to my general dentist he proceeded to fit me for a crown but then realized that I would need a crown lengthening (oral surgery) to complete the final restoration. So now I am being redirected to a periodontist for a surgery that my insurance wont cover ( $$$$). So far I am about $800 in the hole with a temporary crown and getting a little tired off all the running around. I know that this is my fault since bi-yearly checkups would have caught the cavity but man oh man is dental work expensive. Sorry for the long rant but it has been a bad month and I thank god that I have the 6 month supervised diet and WLS to keep my mind off this.

Randy, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
I am packing to go spend the weekend in Madison. I am so excited to get away for a few days! Its been a very long week. I was having quite a bit of pain on Tuesday, so I left work to go see Dr. R. He sent me for and upper GI and then also had a CT of the abdomen. The good news is everything looks good, still no answer to why I am having the pain. I felt great yesterday and so far today, hopefully it will stay gone!! I would like to be able to eat some solid food sometime soon!! I haven't had anything other than liquids or pureed since the 2nd week in November!!! Although, I guess considering all the other complications that could arise, I am doing pretty good.
I was hoping to head out around noon, but the DH took my car to the auto repair place and still hasn't gotten back with the rental so I guess I will be leaving closer to 1pm.
