My major at school.......
I got 2-3 questions about my major on the Tuesday roll. I didn't want it to get lost on there so I thought I would post it here.
I am a Special Education major. I am getting the Title 10 and adding on certs (K-9) for math, general sciences, physical sciences, biological sciences, social sciences.
I will be able to teach just about anything k-9 except english and arts/music.
The reason I am getting certified in all those areas is because I started as a bio-chem major planning on going to med school. So I took a bunch of math, biology and chemistry. They took all those classes and put them into my degree. The social sciences are mostly all included in my degree. (I have taken a couple extra classes as electives to make up the difference.)
Plus I will be able to teach LD K-12.
I really want to try teaching BD kids. I am 6'5" and over 400 lbs. The BD kids I work with now respect me alot. I think they are scared.
Anyway, I have been in school for about 4 years already. I have about 2 years to go.
