Nice and cold today.

I am getting used to the cold. Which is bad, that means I am going to have a sweat filled summer.

Smae old same old here. Work, school, work, school..... I am trying to get a student teaching assignment lined up, but no schools convienent will let me do it.

So I am looking at going to a different district.

Thats OK, I just wont work for the crappy Dekalb schools when i get my degree.

Thats about it.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Morning Dave and Illinois Friends

Yep, another chilly morning.  Wish I could go back to bed and call in sick.  Sounds tempting.  But I  have missed enough work the last few weeks so I better show my face.  They might forget what I look like.

Nothing special planned for the day.  Dave, what subject area/grade level are you planning to do your student teaching in?  I really enjoyed doing mine.  It was in a podunk town but still a great experience.

Janet, I am glad you are doing better.  Hope you get a good report from the plastic surgeon.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morming Illinois.

I will be leaving shortly for work also. My co-worker is generally there early to set up, but she will be late this morning, so I want to get in and get going early. Maybe even beat the clients to work this morning. We usually have at least one or two waiting at the door for us, no matter what time we open.

I heard that SW Illinois is suppose to get up to 8 inches of snow between yesterday and today. If you have to go out, stay safe.

No plans for today except work. Sorry Dave, I can't call in sick .

Stay warm and safe,

Huggers,

Lisa

Hello everyone

Its one cold Tuesday.  Yesterday the fire alarms went off and we had to go stand out in the cold for 15 mins.  Everything was fine but we were all frozen.  The construction here is almost done!!!  I have 3 more temps coming in today.  I have to say I am sick of training people.

On a better note my daughter called me Sunday to tell me she got a job on campus as a research assistant in a greenhouse.  She was very excited.

I am on Facebook all of the time now.  I found an old friend from grade school.  We're trying to get together sometime.

I hope everyone is doing well and I pray everyone looking for a job finds one very soon.

Have a wonderful day.

Good morning Dave and friends.

Well, I had another great day staying on track! That makes 4 days in a row. YAY!!  Yesterday was quite a day; emotions up and down and then up. I met a gentleman over coffee at Panera last night. He works as a real estate attorney in Chicago. We spent 2 hours talking and I think we will be going out again. It just happened. I was on the website plentyoffish. I know it sounds funny! I looked at his profile; then he saw that I looked at his, and sent me a message. We messaged for awhile and then he asked me if I wanted to meet for coffee.  So I decided what the heck, why not? If nothing comes out of it, fine. But I had a great time and we seem to have a lot of the same interests.

I didn't let on about my RNY or banding. When the time is right, he will know.

So, as it was a miserable day it ended as a happy day!

Nothing planned for day. Work and home. No problems with  my protein choices either. I really enjoyed my breakfast of Kashi Go Lean cereal with blueberries and skim milk. It does fill me up. My lunch of fresh shrimp and mixed green salad with balsamic vinegar was good too. Then rounded out dinner with vegetarian chili and 3 meatless meatballs. Snacked on ricotta with cinammon and raisins. All in all it was a great food day.

We have a lot of teachers here I can see.

Janet, once those drains come out you will feel so good. I hated those things hanging on me. Hope they come out soon. I bet you look marvelous.

Aleece - congrats on getting through day 3. We can do this together!

Lisa - sorry about your snowy forecast. I'm glad though that the NW burbs of Chicago is finally getting a break. We've been getting all the heavy snow and are due for some time off! LOL!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Tuesday.

Hugs,
Lucy
