My name is Aleece and I have been reading about everyone and want to join. I had my rny almost 5 years ago. I lost 100 pounds and gained thirty-three back. I am really trying to get back on track. Everyone is so supportive on this board. It is just great.
I met Lucy years ago through my sister who worked with her.. Lucy and I had surgery on the same day at different hospitals. Lucy used to see my sister more than I did.

You missed it but Dave started one about an hour ago. That's okay. I'll post here as well.
You'll like everyone here, for support, ideas, laughing and sharing about family - good and not so good times in life.
I've been good to my pouch and band since Friday. Protein, protein and more protein. I'm trying to come up with new ideas that are protein rich and delicious too. Yesterday I tried some lo fat ricotta and mixed in cinammon and splenda plus I added 1/2 individual size box of raisins. I let it sit in the fridge for a while and then ate it. It was so good and felt like a treat, yet chock full of protein. For a 1/2 cup it was only 120 cal plus 50 for the raisins, giving me 14 grams of protein. I'm going to think about other ideas for ricotta.
No more junk foods for me. I'm trying not to have a lot of added carbs other than what is already in food. You know I love bagels, bread, etc... But if I even have a taste of it right now, it would be a downfall for me. Not to say later on when I can handle a little bitty taste, I probably will allow myself it once in a while. Now, it's way too dangerous for me.
You've done a lot better than me Aleece. I'm proud of your accomplishments. Sounds like you've learned how to maintain and that is the biggest battle of all. I got to goal but didn't learn how to maintain my weight. This time I will because I am not going to have to lose it again.

I did miss the early post. I am having a good day so far with eating. I have two more meetings today and three on Thursday that I am doing paperwork for which takes forever. When Thursday is over I get a little bit of a breather.
I did join WW a few weeks ago and am up about a pound, but it could have been worse. I am actually tracking as of yesterday so that is a big deal for me.
