We have been home for about 2 hours, got things put away and am now going to start working with some fleece material that I bought yesterday and make a scarf and some mittens. I was going to make a vest out of it but I could not find any zippers in the color that was close - on line or in the store. I will go to JoAnn on Thursday after a work meeting and get some other fleece but first check the zippers for a color match.

Snowstorm We came home a couple hours early because it was doing this in the Quad Cities and we did not want to slip and slide on the hiway home. We wanted to go back to our friend's restaurant next to the motel for breakfast but the weather on weather.com showed a huge band of snow all the way home. It cleared up near Rock Falls, IL. Oh well, we are safe.

PS, Randy did you watch the Creek on the 'net, it was great.

Hi Chris. Good thing you checked out the weather conditions on the net and made it home safe and sound.

At least here it is dry but very cold.

 Good Afternoon everyone
Lucy, I am glad that your new adjustment seems to be working  Yeah Monica, I hope Tyler's knee injury is not serious.  Don't forget to take some me time in there for yourself! Paulette,  my one encounter with a mouse had me on my front porch so fast I did not realize how I got there!  Boy did my cats get a lecture for shirking their duties. Dee,  Call your Area Agency on Aging and see if you can hook up on some home health care for your mom.  They have people that can come in and assist with some daily living tasks.  That could work to ease the burden on you.   Dave, glad the date was better than you expected but I dont know about swimming at 30 degrees!   Lisa, enjoy vegging.  Janet, I hope your crazy world calms down soon.  I also agree with you on UPS wanting to evaluate Eddie.  Are they crazy????  Cathie, I have heard good things about Sweet Tomatoes but have never eaten there.  Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.  Randy, you manage to do a lot as well.  Keep plugging along and work toward your goals and one day they will come true!  Christine,  Glad you made it home safe and sound.  And naturally you have found another creative project to do!
I am having a lazy day but am about to get some laundry started.  I had a good experience with my physical therapy evaluation on Friday.  They think they can help me.  Now I have to wait for insurance approval.  I am anxious to get started.  They gave me some home exercises to try.  Tomorrow it is back to the grind.  Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Nancy. Wow, you've got everyone listed here. I'm quite impressed.

Today is day 3 for me. I am doing so well. I came up with a new idea to get my sweet taste with protein as well. 1/2 cup ricotta cheese flavored with cinammon, splenda and 1/2 small box individual size of raisins. I made it and having it tonight. It gives me 14 grams of protein at 170 cal. It tastes so good.

For lunch I had some spicy tuna in a green salad. It was so delish! Now I am enjoying a cup of Joe, nice and hot. I've been drinking a lot of water today too.

Nancy, glad to hear that physical therapy will be able to help you. Ah, the insurance approval process. Hope they cover it for you. Good luck and have a wonderful evening.

Hugs,
Lucy
