Support in Chicago North Suburbs?

I'm having band surgery on February 18th. Wondering if anyone knows of any public support groups or interested in creating a support group in the north suburbs?

Hi Michele,
I am in McHenry, and the hospital where I had my band placed holds support groups the first Wed of the month, but they are in Harvard, which would be a hike for you in Buffalo Grove. I have a dr. appt this Thursday and I can check if they are aware of others. I know they also hold one in Vernon Hills, which may be closer.

Hi,

My name is Aleece and I live in Buffalo Grove.  There is a support group in Vernon Hills that meets the first Monday of the month.  The next meeting is Feb.2 at 7:00. The meeting is held at the North Shore University health building which is right ion front of Kohl's.  We usually do a group run program, but thi time there will be a plastic surgeon presenting.  We still have time for people to ask questions.  The name of the person who coordinates these meetings is Debbie Hurtt.
