Enjoy babysitting for your grandfurbabies.  I am sorry your son-in-law's father is dying.  That is tough.  You are a good mom to take the furbabies.

I have to agree with you on appraisers.  I don't understand how they operate.    I had my home reappraised for refinancing and they compared my house to homes that were in neighborhoods that were not comparable -- much poorer neighborhoods and one home was next to a tavern   Then the appraiser had the gall to mark my bathroom as "average/fair" and I had just spent $10,000 remodeling it!  Here they use appraisers on a rotating basis and I happened to get the known jerk.  My luck!

In Iowa visiting Dave's mom and we saw all the devastation from the flood last year in downtown Cedar Rapids yesterday. About 80% of the buildings are still empty or have been torn down, others are being rehabilitated.

Go to the Quad Cities today and night to our favorite restaurant that overlooks the Mississippi, home Sunday.

Enjoy your visit Chris...  Tell Dave I said hello and I miss you both. 
I'm sure seeing all the empty buildings and buildings that were destroyed was very sad.

Up late. I slept in till about 9 today. It sure felt good after a week of getting up at 4.

Writing another paper today. For my Monday class.

Headed up to Rockford again today. I have another luke-warm date today. I am meeting another lady off the plentyoffish website.

Maybe I will hit the mall and walk around afterwards.


 Nothing really planned today.

Its a nice, cold day.

I am going to go workout a bit now...basically walk.  Just got the drainage tube removed on Thursday and it is still a bit tender.

Good morning all!

Not much planned for me this weekend, just catching up on some cleaning.  I also need to dig out my treadmil.  I also need to go out and survey the damage to my car from yesterday evening fender bender.  I am not really wanting to see just how bad it is.  I know the bumper is cracked pretty good and the back hatch is dented and won't open.  I am glad that the other driver and I were both ok, but I am still pretty bummed about the damage.  Today is my 40th bday, and I don't even get to have a drink lol.  DH and I will probably just go to the show or the world of wheels.  I am not really intrested in the car show, but I will at least be able to get out and walk.
