Saturday Roll Call

Well, I am up brite and early as I have a class to teach this morning.  I imagine everyone else is snug in their beds.  Smart people!  It is a brisk 1 degree.  Not looking forward to walking across a community college campus which always has parking in the boonies.

Dawn,  Congrats to David for being selected for the Jamboree!  That is super exciting!  I am sure he and all of your family are thrilled. 

Lucy, I hope your unfill is just what you needed.  I cant imagine all that difficulty that bandsters go through. 

For those of you preop, it sounds like things are moving along nicely.  Getting close to a surgery date sure is exciting!

I am a pre-op trying to stay focued on the prize. Asking myself, did I know I would be starving myself ..lol

It is well worth it.  I lost 40 lbs on my pre op diet.    That made that much less to lose after surgery.  This has all been very worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat!  Keep your eye on the goal on surgery.  It made it much easier for me to stick to the preop plan!  Good luck!

Good Morning All -
I'm already at work.. I have to work a six hr shift at my day job then Outback tonight.  If my plan goes the way I want it too... I'll be out of here at noon and can take a nap before I work tonight.  I have no pep in my step today.

Nothing else going on.  I hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

Good morning Nancy and IL friends!

I don't envy you having to get up so early on the weekend. I got up at 5 this morning.

I made my first day with no . I can tell you that I fought my head hunger and it wasn't easy. I kept asking myself how does your pouch feel? The answer was satisfied and not hungry. It's all head hunger. It's going to take some time to break the habit. I'm remembering protein first too.

I'm going to weigh****chers this morning. Then off to my sister's house. That's where I have to be extremely diligent!  I think she is an enabler and wants me to eat and be her eating buddy. I'm going to be cautious today.

My financial situation is the same. I'm still having to struggle even if I do the mortgage thing. They compared my house to one in the area for the appraisal value. I don't understand that because I don't know if that home had all the upgrades that mine has. The same appraiser didn't go into that house to see if they replaced all the windows and doors, toilets, new kitchen, patio door, remodeled bathrooms, and all new  lighting fixtures. I am pissed, but have to move on. I haven't heard from them yet with a final figure on the mortgage. It's going to be difficult for me to hang in there.

Well, off to getting dressed and out the door.

Lucy, unfortunately what the appraiser is taking into account at the moment is the housing market which is in the toilet or should I say down your new toilet. They take some of the upgrades into account but when it comes down to it it is what the other houses are being sold for also. It is called comparables.  Dave and I have two good friends in real estate (Schaumburg & Barrington) and they have not sold a house in months. My sister in law (Elgin) has not sold a house since last July.The market is horrible. We have houses in my town that have had a for sale sign on them for close to a year and there is a tear down new McMansion house 2 blocks from us that has never been occupied since it was built over two years ago.

Hope you get some relief from what you can get eventually from the mortgage company. Hang in there girl as this board is here to support you.

I know about the appraiser stuff. It just got my "goat". Thanks for sharing with me.

I'm so thankful for everyone's support here. Just knowing that I can come here and vent, takes some of the stress and pressure off. I think I'm going to get my answer today, as the bank rep called me and left a message. She's calling me this morning with the figures.

I appreciate your support and time giving me the support I need.

Good Morning  Nancy and the entire Illinois Board.

Nancy, are you teaching at IVCC today?If so, whoever designed that parking lot was nuts. I use to freeze when I got there later then planned and had to walk from the last lot.

Lucy, I am so glad Dr. G was able to help you yesterday.

Christina, I do hope you are able to get a bit of rest today.

Dave and Christine, have a great day in the quad cities and a safe drive home.

I think i will have a lazy day today, I want to finish a rug, and pick up the "hobby" room. Then take a while to get ready for the party tonight.I know we will be home early, since DH has to work tomorrow. 

Our DD and SIL will be dropping off their 2 cats to Grandma to babysit the furbabies sometimes this week. His dad is dieing of cancer in Texas and the kids will be driving down. Not sure when it will happen.

Heres hoping everyone will have a good day. Even with the sun shining, it is suppose to be bitter cold. Stay warm and safe.
