Thursday roll call

Yesterday was a bit of a downer.  I had to return to my old job to bring back equipment that I still had.  I didn't see anybody except my lead guy who took the stuff, but it was still depressing.  Oh well.  Meredith and I had lunch with Liz and Meredith didn't want mommy to go back to work.  So needless to say, she through a fit and wouldn't take much of a nap.  The afternoon ending up being very stressful and I was bearly able to hold it together.  But I'm here and ready for a new day.  Not much happening in the food department.  Have a great day!

Good morning everyone!

Doesn't it seem that everything happens at once?  DH has a class in Springfield next week Mon, Tues & Wednesday.  I have a meeting with the Attorney General's office next Tues and DS has a pre-school function that day!  I can't get out of the AG meeting and DH can't get out of the class.  PLUS that Tuesday is my Support Group meeting with BMI and my book club meetings at night!  AHHHHHH - I have asked my book club to switch days as it is just a bunch of my friends, but there are so many days in a month, why does it all happen at once!

I have started putting clothes in a basket, some are getting too big to wear!  I had to pin my pants this morning - I have a presentation and don't have any dress pants that will stay up!  I can't believe this is really working...I am hoping that the stall I was in is over.  But I seem to lose all at once, and then not anything for a few days and then a big chunk again.  It seems that my body is continually changing though.

A bit of news for you....support group is now on Wednesdays at 6 in the auditorium.
Next meeting is January 28th.

Wow Dave...three days in a row....

Worked out last night and I'm going back tonight for the strenghth training class....I can't wait....I'm sore from yesterday... but that's what I get for missing two classes last week. I'm getting back on track...can't afford not to....I need to start losing again....long plateaus really bite the big one...and this one has lasted way toooo long.

I go for my 1st doctor's appointment today at 3:30.  I assume that they will be removing my friend (the drainage tube).  I can't wait.  Although I am freaking out a bit.

Otherwise all is going pretty good so far.  I am just following the directions that were given to me.   I advance to pureed/blended foods tomorrow.  I think that the consistency and tastes of additional foods will be exciting for me.

I get tired every so often and hope that is a normal reaction to the surgery and still being in such an early phase.

Good morning friends,

Busy day today already,  both granddaughters are still sick so they are home again from school.  They both have whatever I have, although I feel better today.  Sami worked herself into quite a state this am,  she wanted mommy to stay home, and yakked all over the carpet at home, so I had to clean that up before bringing them here.

Earl saw the surgeon yesterday, but the incision isn't healed enough to remove the stitches yet. They need to stay in another 2 weeks. This is a usual occurrence with Earl.  He heals really slow, I think it is from the RA meds.  The doc was pleased with the level of feeling he has in his fingers and the movement in his fingers and wrist.  Only thing he has to leave the rigid splint on 24/7 to keep the thumb joint from moving.  He has to wear it for 6 weeks solid.  Doc said it will take at least that long for the thumb joint to heal, maybe longer...

I spoke to Carla last night. She is doing ok.  Has had a migraine all week.  Her levels from the radiation pill are coming down so she thinks she'll be able to come home tomorrow or Saturday.

Hi Paulette...thanks for the update on Carla. Hope she will be back to normal in no time. I'll keep her in my prayers.

I'm going to go back to the gym again today. It isn't something I like to do. I hope it gets easier because I feel like a limping turtle. LOL They said 9 times around the track equals a mile, I did 5 yesterday plus some weights and took the stairs down.  My weight loss is slow now and I'm eating right. I wish I had this tool 20 years ago. It's nice to see so many of you have the Drs in Joliet now, I'm planning on going to the monthly meeting next Wed. It's my first.

Don't have time to write alot...Dave I understand the crazy schedules...I feel like that every day.

Took the day off from work I got to drop dom off to school which was great...I haven't done that all year.

I have an appt with the primary to make sure all my blood work is done....and get the order for sleep study after that I am all set except for the stupid therapist that I am waiting on
