TUESDAY ROLL CALL

I actually get to say good morning instead of good afternoon!

I think I finally got my energy back.  I can't remember who gave me the advice, but I am waking up10 minutes earlier ever wee****il I get to 6:30.  I am a night owl - I used to stay up until 11-11:30 and wake up at 7 and be showered and ready to leave at 7:30 and to work by 8.  With my new schedule I can't do that, it's to fast and I have to get breakfast in there somewhere.  Well I tried waking up at 6 and drinking a shake and walking - that didn't work.  I couldn't get out of bed.  So DH and I are going to switch, I am going to take DS to daycare and work out after work.  But I still need to get up by 6:30ish to get some breakfast in before work and get DS ready to go.  So I am working up to that.  Who knew that this would be a problem, I though I would only have to adjust my eating habits - not my sleeping habits too!

Things are going good - I am learning to say no to that 'one last bite' as that one is usually the killer.  I don't throw up much (only a few times) but it gets really uncomfortable and I wish I could throw up!

One question! - what does R.O.D. mean (recipes maybe???)

R.O.D.-  Recipe of the Day
At one point, I was posting a recipe every day, but I got kind of busy and then almost depleted my stash.

If there is something you would like to see, let me know, I 'm sure I have it somewhere!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning, fellow Illinoisans! The sun is shining, the temps are warmer, and we have another Illinoisan in the President's seat!

I'm excited because today is my 3 months surgiversary and I'm down 63 pounds. AND I get to add fruit to my repertoire today so that makes me happy as well.

Hope everyone else is having a good day (or at least a better day!).

As I watch the coverage today I am thinking about how it was when I as a school girl who just couldn't understand how some of my friends weren't allowed to go to my school, ride with me on the city bus, or had to sit in the back section of the movie theatre, or eat at the soda bar. Thank God that shameful time has passed and we can all be truly united. I am hopeful that the economy will recover, it's such a trying time for so many of us. You all on this board have shown me this weight loss journey can come to a sucessful place too. I'm just starting, this time I have the tool to do it right, on a cute note, my 7 year old grand daughter asks me if I ate enough protein yesterday, she'll be more aware of the pitfalls of not eating healthy foods.
Have a great day,

Norma, Thank god for granddaughters. Mine is 10 going on 30, but she now wants to know the protein count for everything she eats, so she will get enough.

Hey guys-

All is good here.  I just came back from lunch with a very good friend and we laughed the whole time it can't get any better than that.

I got my full of the inauguration and turned it off at work. I'm lucky I work on campus and my boss lets us watch things.  It was fun we shut down the whole department and sat in the back with the projector on so it filled the whole wall.

I was a little disappointed with the speech it seemed to be too symbolic if you know what I mean. I don't know I was just looking for a little more answers.  Oh well..we'll find out soon enough.  I really hope things start changing for the better.

I'm sorry to hear about the job loss (sorry I can't remember who said it) Just an idea you might want to check into your community college if your interested.  I know Moraine Valley out here offers grants for people who have been laid off and are looking to add things to make them a better candidate or to change fields completely (I believe it's their certificate programs) Just a thought.

Otherwise all is good here.  My son went back to school today and was excited to ride the bus.  I am about to take on the school district and I am a little tired.  (Since my son was born I've been taking on Early Intervention doctors etc, it gets a bit much)

So yea now that it is 2:35 I think I am going to do some real work for a couple hours and then go to my therapist...YAY

talk to you soon
