I am around, just extremely tired today.  I never did get into my doc to have my labs done.

I've been lurking here for several months, long enough that you all seem like friends to me. You are all so busy, I try to guess what kind of work you all do. I am retired, from factory work , then I had a craft business. I am 67, pretty old to start this journey but what the heck! My name is Norma, I have a lap band . I am doing ok with it but so far it's like a strange diet. One thing though, I don't really feel hungry. I've had one small fill, and haven't felt the constriction you speak of. Thanks for all the information I've had from you all. Enjoy this a beautiful sunny day.

Hi Norma, you are never to old to get healthy! Welcome to the Daily Roll Call. I was 60 when I started this fabulous journey, had open heart surgery along the way, and  then lapband. I am 62 now, and enjoying life again. BTW, I work for Community Action, in the LiHeap program.

Like Lisa said, you are NEVER too old to get on the road to health!! congrats!  I had gastric bypass but there are a lot of others who have the band as well.

I am Nancy.  I live in LaSalle.  I work in customer service for Office Max and on weekends I teach a class for people who have passed bad checks and have been turned over to the states attorney for prosecution.  

As you can tell, I love cats.

Hello Norma Jean

I noticed we have the same surgeon.  I am hoping to have surgery in March.  I am very undecided about which band to get- Realize or Lap band.  I will have to make up my mind sooner or later. 

I have been on the Illinois board for 6 months and everyone is very nice and supportive. 

I work at Sammons Preston a rehab supply company in Bolingbrook.  I work in the finance department.  You will also soon find out I hate my job.  I complain about it alot on the board.  LOL.

Dee I just got back from getting my labs done...OMG 9 tubes of blood...YIKES...I came home heated up some soup and made  grilled cheese, I was sooooo hungry from having to fast for 12 hours.

Well Elijah and I decided after his swim practice we are heading to Fox Valley Mall and on the way we will stop in and see my older son at work and drop off the stuff he forgot here over the weekend and I think we will take him to dinner while were up that way.  Well I hope all of you have a wonderful will get back on here later on.

Hey everyone-

Nothing major going on here.  I am excited for the weekend my husband got permission to come down for it.  SO YAY its been a couple weeks since he has been home. I can't wait.  ANY how.  My son Dominic is doing good.  I go to a therapist tommorrow and will hopefully have all of my pre stuff done so within the next couple of weeks I can hear from insurance on whether they'll approve me or not.

Otherwise not much here.
