Good morning all.

We are having some lake effect snow here this am. We are so close to the Indiana line that when they get it we usually do too.

Since we don't have our granddaughters today or tomorrow we are going to head out and try to get all our errands done today.  Grocery shopping, get gas, need to go to Menard's, Wally World etc. Need to find some sweats for him, since he lost 40 pounds his are too big.  Hopefully we can get all the running around done today as long as Earl doesn't get too tired out.  He said he is going stir crazy though and wants to get out.  We'll most likely have lunch out, think we'll go to Panera for soup and split a sandwich.  Since we can take our time there and not feel rushed.

I hope you all have a great day.
Hugs, Paulette

Good Morning Everyone in Illinois!

I am one of the lucky ones with having today off. Now after this long weekend I will have to go to work tomorrow and Wed and then be off for another long weekend. I know, someone has to do it.

I am still stuck in closet land. I am doing the laundry  room one today. That wont take long as everything is in baskets on selves. I want to eliminate most of the stuff, since, I haven't gone into them in over a year. Our bedroom closet is really an 8x8 roomlet. That one, will need help with, such as a DH. That will be a nightmare just getting him to agree to helping.

Lucy, dear friend, lapband works. We all have stalls, just stick with it.
I also have some foods that don't like me at all. One is beef, another bananas. This whole weekend nothing is staying down  (except my sugar count) This has been an ongoing issue since I got the band. It doesn't matter if it is a protein drink or a chicken salad sandwich, it doesn't like me at all.

Stay warm and stay safe.

Huggers
Lisa

Good morning Angie and the rest of Illinois!

I am at work, and the kids came in with me this morning.  They actually got up rather easily.  Their grandma came and took them out to lunch, then she is going to drop them at the museum for their shift today.  After I am done working at 2:30, I will go over to our Aunt's apartment and visit with her until the kids get off at 4.  Tomorrow is the 1st anniversary of her husband's death, so I am sure she can use some support today.  We sure do miss him.

I never did get the pictures into their frames and hung up over the weekend.  I will get to it soon, I hope.

Liv had a great time at the lock in and David got 2 more merit badges on Saturday.  Liv and I went to see "Bride Wars" and she enjoyed it.  I thought it was predictable and cheesy, but she was happy.  I would recommend it as a rental, but not a full price theater admission.  Of course, we had popcorn, which is not too good for me, but OH SO GOOD tasting.  I adjusted my other eating to compensate.

Dave---when I am at the mall, I go to Panda Express and get the Mandarin Chicken (sauce on the side) with mixed vegetables.  The chicken is not breaded or fried and one serving lasts me 2-3 meals.  The japanese place is good too, I get a stir fy and tell them to keep the rice/noodles.  Other than that, I agree with Lisa about Golden Corral, and Jimmy John's sounds great.

That's about it for me today!

Everyone have a magnificent day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Well happy MLK day. I am off school, as well as my kids.

The boy went skiing yesterday with his school skiing club. They went up to Devil's Head ski resort. He got home about 5 this morning. So I am not going to wake him up until around noon. That way he will sleep tonight.

I have another hot date. Meeting at McDonalds for a cup of decaf coffee. Hot Coffee makes for a Hot Date. I didn't date since my divorce (about 4 years ago****il about 6 months ago. I have met more women in the last 6 months then I can count. I joined the "Plentyoffish" dating website, and man I'm like a fat guy at a buffet. (Pre-op of course) I have been dating like crazy. I am a pretty good looking fat guy I guess.

I am just having a hard time finding a lady with the qualities that I want. And it has all changed in the last 20 years me tell ya.

Women have become so agressive it scares me. I know it sounds wierd to hear a man say that, but it does. I haven't dated serious in about 18 years, so it kinda scares me off.

Plus the cussing. Who taught women that it is attractive to cuss like a sailor. Totally a turn off, and in most cases a deal breaker.

I should go back in time to the Little House on the Prarie times.

Anyway, so thats what I am doing today.

I got up early and wrote a paper. Will wake up the boy around noon, then go out on my Hot Date.

Then go to bed and get ready to go back to work tomorrow. (My first day since surgery on Dec. 10th)

SO have a good day all.

Dave Just want to say enjoy your Hot Date, I know that If I had to date after being married 34 years, it would scare me too, Good luck getting back out there, I hope you find that special person,

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Dave

I have to say I have been single for 10+ years and haven't been on a date.  The thought of a date scares the crap out of me.  I could use some of their aggresiveness.  I figure after my surgery and I lose some weight it will give me the confidence to go on a date for the first time in 20+ years.

Good morning everyone,

We had a nice blanket of snow fall yesterday--I am so ready for spring (minus the tornadoes, hail and mud that comes with it.)

This weekend was good--I beat my husband and son bowling--yea!!!  I went shopping Saturday at the mall in Champaign, I got a pair of Born boots on clearance.  This is the first time I have been able to buy shoes in regular sizes--even my feet have lost weight  My husband and son don't get it, but I know you guys will--this is the first time in a very very long time that I have not been restricted to a small portion of a paticular store for clothes--now I have the whole mall--watch out wallet.

My son leaves today to go back to Macomb (Western Illinois University).  He has done a lot of thinking while he was home on winter break--I hate to say it too quick, but I think he might be growing up.  He has decided to keep his major as history (which is a good thing, he is a senior)--he decided he didn't want to teach--which is fine, not everyone is cut out to be a teacher--he has decided to major in Law Enforcement Administration and he should graduate in apx. 2 more semesters.  He is leaning towards the military (Air Force)--even talking about applying to OTS (officer training school).   I am going to miss him, but I am excited to watch my little boy grow up to be a productive member of society.

I am currently working on a new project--trying to convince my husband we need a puppy----I am wearing him down.  He likes to put on this gruff front, but he is really a soft hearted person--I just have to catch him at the right time.

I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers this week

Keep warm and stay safe

I know the feeling.  My daughter is going to join the Peace Corp after graduation (which is a 2 year commitment)  I will miss her soooo much, but I know this is something she has wanted to do since she was14.  I am excited for her.

Good Morning Angie and the rest of my Il friends!

I have already dropped Tyler off at wrestling practice today and told him to have the trainer check out this lump on his knee.  It got twisted at the meet on Saturday, but the lump is not bruised or anything, but very painful.  We'll see what the trainer says.  I will be picking him up around noon and then heading home to do homework and nothing!

I am so frustrated with my hubby right now I could just scream!  I won't get into it, but sufice it to say that I told him he needs to find a new job and when  he starts looking, I will start looking!  (though I have sent in 3 applications in that last 2 days)

Oh well, that's it around here.  Stay safe and warm today!

Monica
