Good Morning Everyone!!
Couldn't sleep again and yet so darned tired.  Anyhoo!  Not much going on for me today other than drop Elijah off for swim practice and then head over to get my bloodwork done for my Dr. appt thursday.  It was a nice weekend though, it was great to spend time with my boys.  Elijah had a City bowling tournament sunday, wasn't his best games thats all I can say.  He was not happy with himself.  But I told him just have fun!  It's going to be a busy week!!

Carla I'm so happy that the cancer didn;t spread, please keep us posted!

Carol my son went and seen that Mall Cop movie with abunch of friends and he said the same thing it was really funny.  Sorry you didn't get the grandkids!

Lisa AWWW come on PLEZ...  LOL!!

Dave thanks for the Hollister and A&F tips, cause thats all my boy wears.  As far as restaurants, about all I do is Taco Bell or Mexican rest of some sort (refried beans, lettuce and rice), Panera Bread is really good soups and even the soups at Subway, oh and Carols idea of Jimmy Johns that would be really good if I could do meat...UGH!!

Nancy how's the kitty snuggling going?

Lucy I bet your house looks adorable, you seemto be up on the whole decorating thing.

Nicolle no is it not you, it is the Dark Hole with way to much cologne or perfume and loud music.

Karen as much as we are not suppose to really eat the creamed soups (high fat content), boy they are more filling than the others.  But like you I try to be good...

Well all I'm going to try and get some shut eye!     Geez using these little face thingys is fun...I know so easily amused!!!

Hello also to Monica, Dawn, Christine, Christina, Dee and Eileen and to anyone else I may of forgotten (if I did sorry)!!!

You all have a wonderful Monday!

Bug Hugs!

Hello everyone

My daughter is back at school now

My weekend was way too short.  I wish I got MLK day off like so many others.  I have three people to train today.  And they are still working here.  Were in the middle of a construction zone.

Everyone stay warm and have a nice day.

Good Morning Angie

I was up being a night ouw like you last night and am feeling it this morning.  I wish I would not get involved in projects at bedtime!

It did not help that I found out that the hand surgeon came to town yesterday for patient visits.  I called and they worked me in at the end of the day.  I was seen at 9pm last night!

He is susposed to be the best hand surgeon in the midwest and originally from our area.  He comes back every couple of months on a Sunday and Monday to see patients and do surgery.  He advertises in the paper as to when he will be in town and this time it was at Christmas and I missed the ad.

I have severe arthritis in my thumb nad get shots to relieve the pain.  Eventially I need to have the joint replaced but am chicken.   Not sure how much longer I can put it off.  But this morning I have relief!

I'm ready for another week after having 4 days off.  I found out over the weekend that it was a good thing I did not go to my sisters.  The great nieces have Scarlet Fever.    I worry agout the oldest as she has Down Syndrome and they have a tendency to have bad hearts.  In fact she had a hole in her heart before she was born.  I just pray this does not attack her heart.

Hope everyone has a great week!  Dave , enjoy your classes.  Janet, glad you are up and getting out.  Carla, good luck this week.  Ilsa, hope hubby's resume lands him that perfect job!  For all of you I wish the best.

Hi Nancy,

I know you read my posts about Earl's Thumb & Hand surgery.  It is very painful however, for the first time in 9 years he actually has feeling in his thumb and fingers.  The surgeon is very optimistic that he will have full use of his hand and fingers again.  So in the end it will be worth it.  Even through this whole rough patch Earl has talked about having the other thumb  and hand done in the summer.  I think part of the reason Earl has had so much pain is because he is allergic to most pain meds.  The only thing he can tolerate is Tylenol, at least the Tylenol # takes the edge off.

Hugs, Paulette

Good  morning Angie and IL friends!

Angie, I love to decorate for any holiday. I do it at work as well.

Wow, you've got everyone listed. You have a great memory. I can't remember everyone's day to day business.

I had a good time with Val yesterday. She is such a sweetheart. Unfortunately, I didn't tolerate my lunch at all. We had chicken fajitas. I didn't eat much but my band didn't tolerate it at all. I had to  several times during her visit. She thinks my band is too tight and I think I have to agree with her. I can eat with no problem, all the no-no foods but the protein, well it is a problem. I feel so bad because I haven't lost anything and  have gained - now I'm supposed to see Dr. Guske on Friday, and of course, don't want to! I have a couple of days to decide what I want to do. This band is not worth it for me. I didn't have any problems with my RNY. I don't know how the bandsters handle it.

Well, this gal is off to a meeting outside the hospital this morning. Not one of my favorite meetings to attend, but I must.

Wishing everyone a good day, a feel better day, a good news day, etc...

Hugs,
Lucy

It was sooooo good to see you Lucy - I felt so bad for you feeling so sick. I think it is really important to let Dr. Guske know exactly what is happening and what you can and cannot tolerate. He can't help you if you don't   confide in him.

Lucy, you do sound too tight. I know I am, I am all so having the heartburn that come with it. I go see my doc Feb 5Th. I am having him take out 1/2 cc. I have decided to leave it there if I get relief, until June then we will see. I have been eating very little and I am having issues with being tired. I am also having trouble keeping down water if I don't sip very tiny sips. It can take hours to get in 8 oz of water. Heck I am tired before I get it drank. It seems like when I lose 10 pounds or so I need fill removed it seems to get tighter. I really noticed it Sat when I met my son at his favorite Chinese restaurant to have lunch. I said to him I'll be back I am in trouble. He knew what I meant. I sometimes agree with you this band sometimes is  not worth the misery we go through and I am stubborn and think I know best when I don't so I know some fill must go because I am tired of visiting all the restrooms when we eat out.

There is a good article from DR CURRY on the main page of OH it explains a too tight band and he is right on target! its on the Obesityhelp.com page.

Good luck Lucy!

Hi Karen. I'm experiencing the same symptoms as you have. The heartburn is awful. One night last week I couldn't go to bed for a couple of hours because I was bringing up stuff and that was with sitting upright.

I'm definitely going to the doc with shame and all. I need some of the total fill removed. I think I have about 6.5 cc in my 9 cc band.

Thanks sweetie. I hope you get your relief soon as well.

Hugs,
Lucy

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
