Look in this web site for the doctors that you mentioned. http://www.asmbs.org/cgi-bin/membertest3.pl Look at doctor number 9, Shayani
I would recommend that you just do a Google search for the other name.
Keep in mind that any one of the docs that you mentioned might have moved out of state or have retired.

I know Dr. Galvani was at Day One and U of I. He was one of Dr. Horgan's fellows and then became Dr. Horgan's replacement when he went to California. He's South American. I thought he was horrible and lacked in bedside manner (aka jerk). I know some of the people on lapbandtalk.com didn't like him either.
Dr. Shayani used to be with Loyola and then moved. Here's a link to his site: http://www.illinoisbariatriccenter.com/VafaShayani.aspx I don't have experience with him, but I have heard very good things.

I thought I was clear enough, but to be clearer......................................................
Galvani was a JERK to me - he had never met me before and hadn't even looked at my file before being unhelpful, condescending, rude, and just plain mean. And, he never had the decency to apologize for his behavior and comments when the fluroscope showed he was wrong. He was so rude that I was in tears and NEVER returned to that office. I have never had a doctor treat me like that before and would never expect any patient to be treated that way...EVER. As I said, some on lapbandtalk.com felt he was a jerk too and didn't return. (Dr. Horgan did my initial lapband surgery and although somewhat egotistical at the time, he was never rude or obnoxiously arrogant. He could be strict, but not mean.)
Both Horgan and Galvani are from South America. I mentioned that because it might help jog the memory of which doctor...Galvani or Shayani (who I think is Indian). I added in the info about Horgan incase that helped since he was initially at that office and his former fellows took over.
As I stated in my post, I haven't had experience with Dr. Shayani, but I have heard good things.
