Friday Roll Call
Good Morning Everyone!
It is 12:40 am, so technically it is Friday. Thursday, the only reason my DH and I went out was for a doctor's appointment. I'm still in a stall (almost 2 weeks now). And, I wore long johns, fleece pants, a turtleneck, a fleece pullover, warm socks. So, when I got weighed this morning, I was up about 5 pounds from last week. Not surprising with all those layers on. I have been cleared to return to work next Tuesday and cleared to carefully and gently start swimming again the Monday of the week after. Cool! I have been looking forward to getting back to swimming in the nice, warm therapy pool.
After we were done at Dr R's office, we stopped at Fry's Electronics, my DH went into Lifetime Fitness to cancel our membership, and he went into an ATT store to buy a modem. We also stopped at Wal-Mart. I got fixings to make up fresh guacamole mixed with fresh salsa, which I pureed together with the juice of one lime. I mix that with a chopped up scrambled egg. It is pretty good together. We also got some chili for me to puree. I was going to pick up a prescription, but have to wait until after to 23rd to get it or the insurance won't cover it. No biggie, as the Wal-Mart is just down the road from us. I was hoping to get out this weekend, but with the promise of snow, it is unlikely.
The school district I work for is closed again today, they called a few hours ago to let me know. On Thursday, the call canceling school came in at 4:40 in the morning. They have a lot of employees to call, as our district has 5 high schools, 7 middle schools, and over 40 elementary schools.
So, I am saving a couple of sick days off my medical leave. I will have had just over 4 weeks off of work and will have taken 8 sick days. Not bad. If my DH were to take his car, I could actually venture out and do something on my own. I haven't done that since December 18th.

'Morning, been up for a few minutes. Got my clothes together to wear for the day as Friday is casual day and no uniform for me. We are pretty much hibernating in the house trying to keep the humitity levels up to help it feel warmer.
Dave has been driving me into work the last few days because of the temps. Normally I can handle around zero but not now with the wind chill temps. It is not safe to be out there even for a ten minute walk down the sidewalk. Oh well I need more water cases at work so he will drive me and help bring them in.

I plan to go to work, put in my 10 hrs , then come straight home. The errands I need to do can wait until the weather warms up.

Hello everyone
What a cold freezing day. I'm at work right now and I can't seem to warm up. I have three layers on right now and I will be putting on a fourth soon. My mittens just don't keep my hands warm so today I put a pair of socks on over my mittens. I know it sounds stupid but it worked my fingers were warm. Oh and the lock on my door to my apartment is frozen. I have to call the landlord.
Well I got a surprise this morning. I have three new friends on Facebook from OH.
Well yesterday went fine for me. The person from corporate that sat with me said I know my job very well and I know the system well. Well DUH. I'm not sure how it went with my boss. She said we would have a meeting this morning. These corporate people are very chauvinistic. Its a "good ole boys club" over there. They act like a woman can't possibly know anything about business.

I am suppose to start PT today for shoulder once again, but since straining my back yesterday, we will just have to wait and see. Guess that gets me out of helping nephew and his wife move tomorrow. They are moving from Roxana to Vandalia.
Facebook is so fun. I have been able to aggrivate Crystal, Monica and Eileen on there...lol
Nothing much going on here today. I am tired, and shouldn't have gotten up with DH this morning. Naps sounds good...lol

Good Friday Morning.
I didn't venture out yesterday at all. I had plans to do some shopping, but decided to go nowhere and try to stay warm. Coffee did the trick, along with jeans, a sweater, socks and a quilt. I will venture out later today.
No big plans for today. Work on putting away some more stuff from the closet. I did get DH to donate over 2 jumbo garbage bags full of jackets he can no longer wear to charity.
Stay warm, cover up if you are going out, heck, cover up if you are staying home, stay safe,

I just seen the Temp. It is -15! I think i will wait to do errands until much later this afternoon!

My car outside temp reading was -16 this morning!
That was without the wind chill. I felt like I was in Minnesota. Even the nasal hairs freeze!! 
After work today I have the appraiser coming to my house to give the bank an estimate of what my house is worth. I have a fun filled day with two meetings back to back this morning. It's been a busy, busy week for me.
My homeowners association business has kept me busy too. Last night a few of us met at the clubhouse to develop a job description for our lead maintenance man. We were there for almost 3 hours. I didn't have much resting time last night.
YAY for Fridays! Two days off..
Well, as everyone hear is saying, stay warm and safe. If you don't have to venture out this morning, DON"T!

Ahhh, a beautiful winter morning.
Nice and cold. Slows down all the grems. (Doesn't kill them, just slows them down.)
I like to go out in this weather. It is like a challenge. I usually put on my Carhartt bib overalls, 2 or 3 sweat shirts, 2 pairs of winter socks. I have a 10 foot long 1 foot wide scarf that a lady at work made for me. It is super warm. I also have a hat that goes all the way over my head and tucks into my shirt. It has eye holes only on it. Then a big leather coat. and gloves and I get to go play.
I am hoping my car starts this morning.
I have to go to school today. I don;t know why they don't cancel college when they cancel the grade schools. Everyone has to bring their kids to school with them, or just not go.
Anyway. have a good day. Only 3 more months of winter.
