Good Morning Everyone -

I don't have to tell ya that it's really crappy out there!  Geez.  I'm over it all ready.
We are at the 1/2 way point of the week.  I'm so glad.

So, the garage door opener has been broken for over a week.  The worst time ever to be w/out access to your garage when you have one!  I'm not a happy camper.  I will call again today to find out when someone will be out to fix it.

Not much else going on.  Just trying to stay positive at work.  Lost of changes.. stream lining, change of job duties and talk of lay offs etc.  I'm still hoping that 2009 is better then 2008.

Good morning!

I haven't been out yet but I can see that it could be a problem. Luckily I am only a block from N 2nd St which is always as clear as any  road will be. I have to teach this morning so I do have to get in.

I will only have limited computer access for a while so I probably won't be posting, but I'll be OK.

Take care everyone!

Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!

I made it into work today in just under an hour!  The roads were not too bad and I could see pavement on most of hwy 20.

Nothing else new going on here today.  I am looking forward to going home and riding the bike while the kids make dinner (tonight is spaghetti for them---spaghetti sqash for me).

I'm glad that Janet is home recovering, along with Earl and Paulette.  It seems that there are too many to mention individually with sickness and woes and I am keeping you all in my thoughts for better days!

Stay safe and warm!

Tell someone that you love them!

Not much for me to do today except I do want to try and repair a pair of glasses I like that the bridge has broken on.

For those starting or increasing exercise programs please be aware that you may slow or stop your weight loss.  Some folks will actually gain when beginning or increasing exercise programs.  Part of that can be from increased food intake but more often it is water retention used to help in healing the muscle damage done during exercise. Exercise is a great thing and a plus for your health.  Just do not be too disappointed if it slows stops or reverses the scale and be sure to log what you eat and your exercise so you can see them react to each other.

So you have been forgiven?

A very chilly good morning to my IL friends! Finally a day off!!!!  It has been nuts here with work and trying to sort out this insurance mess.  Go glad to see Janet H is mending and everyone else seems to be suriving this winter.  Kim you look so good!!!!  Thanks to Dawn for all her updates on Janet too.  We have appealed the cancellation of Eddie's insurance w/UPS-they say they will expidite, but it's not an emeregency because he has a week of imuno-suppresants left.  We were also advised by a friend in human services to apply for medicaid for him, which I am doing today.
I am so proud of my self-even w/an empty band I didn't gain over the holidays.  I tried on an outfit Sunday at WalMart, just for chucks and giggles 'cause we can't afford to pay attention let alone get new duds, the top was 12-14 and the pants were 14!!!!  And they fit and looked good!!!  I was so jazzed!!!!  The last time I wore a 12-14 was 1995!  Dave pea soup is so easy-you can find recipes everywhere-I use a smoked turkey leg instead of ham-less fat- and it is SOOO good-you can't tell it's turkey.  Christina how are you feeling-sorry to see work is still so crappy.  I think we all are hoping 2009 is much better for all of us.  I will try to check in more often-I have been lurking and just so down that I just hid-but I got off my pity pot and am back in the real world again.  Stay warm and well-Big Hugs to all-Janet K

P.S.-Paulette-Take care of Earl and you too-hope he is on the mend soon.

Good morning All!

Boy, this weather is something else!  It never fails to amaze me that we can have such changes all in a short time.  I guess that is why we live here, for the change in weather.  We'd all be bored if we lived in a warm sunny place like Florida or California....right???  LOL!!  No way!!  Send me to Boredom!!

I sure hope everyone stays warm and feels better soon!  Here are (((hugs))) for all those under the weather and here's hoping that everyone feels better soon.

Today is just a "make it through the day" day.  Got a call from Noah's school today that he has been having behavior issues at school now for the past week.  That is one place that he has always been good, at school, so I dont know what is going on now with him.  I am exhausted from dealing with all these behavior issues.  Plus the fact that my husband and I dont agree on how to handle them, doesnt help.  He doesnt buy into any of the suggestions that the counselors give us, he thinks that Noah should JUST LISTEN.  See, here is the thing, that is his problem, he doesnt listen and has many issues that affect his listening.  We have to be creative on getting him to be cooperative, and Jeff is not into creativitity.  He is into just expecting Noah to be someone he is not.  IT is a very tough time in this house now, and I am trying to deal with it the best I can.  I used to "destress" by eating, hence the need for the surgery, now that I cant eat anymore, I dont have a way to destress and it is killing me.

Oh well, enough whinning.

Today I hope to find the energy to make a healthy dinner and keep peace in the house.  Wish me luck.

Stay warm everyone!
