Hi Janet,
Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. We are both starting to feel better.
Earl has been through quite a bit with this surgery. His blood pressure and temps are finally staying normal. Just lots of pain and swelling issues yet. Of course he had to come off his RA meds so that doesn't help either. Wed he sees the surgeon to get the stitches out and starts therapy on Thursday. So hopefully the worst is over.
Hugs, paulette

Paulette,
I hope you are both feeling better this morning! Im so glad his BP went down. I hope your primary care dr responds to your call, and gives him an antibiotic too. Boy, medicine is becoming more and more like a business every day. It is my profession and I am sad to say I dont agree with how they treat pts these days. It is all about the $.
I sure hope you BOTH are on the mend, and that everthing works out ok.
((((hugs))))

Hi Eileen,
thanks for your thoughts and good wishes, It seems like the worst is over and we are both on the med. Earl still is having issues with swelling and pain, but the antibiotics have taken care of any infection. We saw the surgeon on Friday and his cast and bandages were too tight so they removed them and checked the incision and re-wrapped the arm. The incision looked good, no sign of infection, it was clean and dry. Wed. he will see the surgeon to have the stitches removed and then start therapy on Thursday for the wrist and fingers. They won't start therapy on his thumb for 6 weeks though.
Hugs, Paulette

Hi Angie,
thanks so much for the prayers. We are doing much better today. Earl still has quite alot of pain and swelling but that should get better each day.
I have a minor cough left over but feel much better now.
BTW...I love your new pic. I haven't been online much but wanted to make sure I told you I noticed it..you look great!
You are not that far from me. I used to work in Bourbonnais for Cigna, many years ago. We still go to Bourbonnais to shop at Farm & Fleet for jeans. And sometime I shop at the mall there.
Hugs, Paulette
Hi Paulette,
How are you and Earl doing today? I hope good!!!
You know I forgot to change my hometown on here when we moved we moved back in September to Morris, Il. Before we moved I lived right across the street from Cigna for 3 years, my parents have lived there for going on 20 years now. My dad retired from Caterpillar in Joliet oh my about 18 years ago and he just retired from Farm & Fleet last friday. I come into Bourbonnais quite often myself, mine and Leons (DH) parents still live in that area. Once the weather gets better we should try and get together. Ocassionally I'm in Peotone to get my oil changed or car serviced at Terrys where I bought it. Thank you for the compliments on the pic, I feel great most the time.
Well you and Earl hang in there!!
Big Hugs,
Angie
