Hello everyone

I made it into work.  I didn't slip or slide once.  The blowing and drifting is bad.

I'm not looking forward to work today.  People are coming to visit us from our corporate headquarters.  Its not a friendly visit either.  Ever since the system conversion in August things have been really bad here.  Basically they are coming to critizie us and our boss.  Its a long story but I'm worried for my boss's job.  I think they are trying to fire her.

Yesterday for no apparent reason I got a migraine.  I have presription medicine for migraines but it took a few hours to work.  I hope I get through the day today without another migraine.

Carla-  I praying for your full recovery.  We're with you every step of the way.
Christine-  I hope you're feeling 100%
Ilise- I hope everything works out for your family.  Its always scary when you (or hubby) loses a job.
Carol-  I hope your moms are doing better.

Well I guess I will be going.  Have a nice day and drive safe.

Good morning Crystal and IL family!

It wasn't too bad on the roads this morning. I left home very early. Some roads are snow packed but others are just wet. We're lucky that at least where I'm from, we didn't get the blizzard conditions.

It's going to be a challenging work week. Lots of activities and deadlines to meet.

Happy to hear that Janet is home, safe and sound.

Wishing everyone a safe and stay warm day!

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning friends!

I have a 7:30 work meeting today which is why I am up so early. I can still see last night's tracks in the driveway so I expect it will be OK getting to work. I'm not looking forward to going out though.

Last night I was looking in the basement for a shirt and found a warm sweater that I had made years ago and it fits! I was really glad to find it now instead of in June. I'll be needing it now!

Better get off line and get to work!

Good Morning Crystal and Illinois!

I am glad that they have called off the blizzard warning here.  I am not looking forward to venturing outside because of the cold and it is susposed to get colder as the day goes on.  It looks like we are due to get dumped on again tomorrow.  I have an appointment with my surgeon on Thursday and it is almost 2 hours away.  I hope I can make it.

Crystal, my thoughts are with you at work today.  It does not sound like a pleasant day at all.  I hope your boss survives the meeting with her job intact.

My thoughts and prayers are with our members who are struggling with their health and financial issues.  I hope everyone will see better times ahead soon.

Everyone stay warm and travel safe today.

Good morning.

Like everone else, I am off to work this morning. I wanted to leave a bit early, but, as usual, I am rushing around.

My wish for everyone of you, my dear friends, is to stay safe and to stay warm. And to be careful out there today.

Huggers

Lisa

Hello All!  I was up very early in preperation for the snow.  My mother is now coming out to take care of the kids every day and she stayed over last night.  So I got up very early and went out to move the cars and clear the driveway.  My snowblower decided that it wasn't going to blow!  The engine started and the wheels turn but nothing shoots out.  I hope it is just frozen, because I would hate to find out that it has died.  I put it back in a warm part of the garage and hand shoveled the driveway.  Thank God it wasn't as bad as they all said it was going to be.  It was a hard workout still.  I made it to work on time, and tonight I'm planning to go to the fitness place and work out.  I went and joined last night, but didn't stay to work out due to the pending storm.  I hope tomorrow's storm is light as well.  Stay warm!

Good morning Crystal and Illinois!

I hope things go well for you at work today.....
MIL's physical therapy is going well. She has started to walk with a walker to get to the bathroom. She doesn't feel like she's doing well but her therapist says she is doing great.
Mom still has oxygen but is improving a little bit daily.

Hope you all keep safe from the icy roads and the bitter temperatures.
Have a great day!

Good Morning friends!

Crystal, I will keep you in my thoughts that everything works out okay at work today.

As for me, the kids were totally bummed they had to go to school today! lol  silly boys.  I have been up since 6am, worked out, took my shower and am now getting ready to make breakfast for myself.  Everyone is gone and the house is nice and quiet.

I will just be doing some cleaning around here and homework.  that's it for me today!  oh yeah, and calling the Kane Center for my Vitamin D results, since they can't seem to get their crap together and let me know!

Have a wonderful, warm and safe day today!

Monica

Good Morning -

I'm glad  we did not get hit as hard as we thought we may.  I had to work last night and just as I thought, it was a waste of my time.  I'm scheduled the rest of the week.  I'm gonna have to have a talk with management.  They are killing me scheduling me every night of the week.. M - F and two nights closing.  It's too much and not worth it.  If it was my only income that would be one thing but when I work my day job from 6 - 4 then have to be there at 5 it just makes for a long day.
I have to go to my surgeons office on my lunch hour and get my B12 shot.  I'm two weeks late.  It's just been a hectic month for me already.

Crystal - My thoughts are with you.  I hope everything works out at work.

Hope everyone has a safe commute and stays warm.

Not much happening today.  Still sitting around at home.  I should do some organizing today, trying to figure out what to get rid of.  My DH took my car again, so I won't be going anywhere with his car.  I should put some more clothes away, I just have to figure out where.  It would be easiest to hang everything up, but I don't think I have that many hangers.  There may be some extra ones in the basement.  I would have to catch my breath on the first floor for a while if I tried to do that.

Crystal, good luck at work today.

Take care.  Stay safe and warm everyone.
