Good Monday Morning Illinois

Time to get up and get ready for another week.  Even though it looks like it is going to be a dandy of a week.  Any way we can stay inside and under the covers?

I had a great weekend of putzing around the house but managed to get my to do list done.  Always a good feeling to be able to start the work week with nothing hanging over the head.

I hope Janet is doing better today. Carla, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Carol, hope your moms are coming along in their recoveries.  Ilse, hope your husband gets some positive ideas on his job ideas today.

I hope everyone has a great day and stay warm!

Hello everyone

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  Weekends are just not long enough.  This will be a long cold, snowy week.

I have alot of things to get done this week before my daughter goes back to school.  Work will be busy this week too.

I hope everyone stays warm.  Have a nice day.

I never did get it.  Just as I thought.  I don't know what the purpose of the email was.  Oh well it would have been nice.

Good morning Nancy and IL friends.

Yes, it's going to be a challenging week with the weather.

I am so sick of this!!!

I have a full week of meetings starting this morning at 7:30.

I hope and pray that everyone is doing well with all the stones thrown our way - financials, illness, job loss, family issues, etc...

It's cold out there already. Stay warm and safe driving!

Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning All!  It is cold out there and the really bad temps aren't even here yet!  Today I'm going to start the health club and try to get the numbers moving.  Of course, if the snow comes, I may just wait until tomorrow.  This weekend was mainly a snow removal event.  I had to clear the driveway and sidewalks 3 times.  Then, on Saturday, I realized that my neighbor (who works on Saturdys) never had a chance to clear his driveway, so Liz and I went over to his house and cleared the snow.  He was very happy.  This was the neighbor who cut my lawn for me when I was recovering from my surgery.  Work has been a difficult place.  Like everybody, we are suffering from the economy and the enviornment is not a happy place.  Our director is cutting jobs like crazy and he's not being nice about it.  We've had several people leave just because they cannot take the negative attitude that seems to dwell.  It is sad that there are some people who just feel they need to be mean in life.  I'm just doing my job and hoping to survive for now.  Liz was promised a large end of the year bonus, but was recently given about 25% of the actual amount specified.  When she inquired about why the number was short, she was told that business was down and that was all that was coming.  I don't think it would have been as upsetting if they hadn't specified a number back in August!  But we had plans for the money that now have to be changed.  I sure hope that Bush and Chenney are enjoying what they have done to the people of this country!  Oh well, this too shall pass.  Stay warm and try to be happy.

Good Morning  to my Illinois family,

Yep, its back to work for me too this morning. I still don't have my computer fixed. I won't get the new cord setup until Wed when I see my supervisor.

Yesterday I got most of one closet done. It is awsome how much you can pitch when the mindset tells you if you haven't used it in a year, pitch it. I now have one closet that is almost empty. # 2 is next. My goal is to have one compleatly empty closet, and lots of junk out for pickup.

DH went to work today, after being sick yesterday. Hopefully, he can stay at work all day after this last week being off for vacation.

It looks to be another nasty week for Illinois. We are under a blizzard warning as of 3 this afternoon. Our area will get hit about 1 hour earlier.

Heres hoping everyone has a great Monday. Stay safe and warm. And remember, spring will come.

Huggers,

LISA

Lisa, if you have some good stuff from your closet you can go to freecycle.com and post it to give away to help keep it from the landfields.  I just gave away a car load of my big clothes...  There is a site for every State and City just about.  People put almost everything on there even cars...I have to laugh at some of the things people post and ask for. I need to do some cleaning also. I did get 3 cell phones from there last week because my daughter broke her's. Saved me $200. lol. Have a great day Robbie

Good morning my chilly friends!

What can I say with the weather we are facing? Oh well--as Paul said about the economy--this too shall pass!

We had a lovely dinner with friends last night! They have a 20 month old who is just SO CUTE! He even learned my name! They had a typical turkey dinner and it went down fine. It seems when I eat out I rarely get stuck, but at home I do. I guess I am eating slower when I'm visiting with friends. A lesson for Kay and I both to focus on, even though we do actually sit down to dinner at the table--we must still eat too fast. I guess when the lessons stop, so does life. So, bring on the lessons (one at a time)!

Have a great day and stay warm!
