Good morning IL friends.

So happy to hear that Janet is doing well and got to stay overnight in the hospital.

I did a lot of snow shoveling this morning. YAY!!

I'll be off to my sister's later this morning for the day.

Now I'm enjoying a very HOT cup of coffee

Stay warm, safe and dry this weekend.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning Lucy & IL -

I'm up and already at work.  The roads were really crappy out my way.  Not much going on here, working this morning then have to be at Outback at 5.  My day is shot.

Glad to hear that Janet is doing well and great to see a post from Paula!

If you have to go out, travel with caution.  Stay warm everyone!

Hi Christina. Hope your travel was safe.

I decided to stay home today. It's still snowing and we had another 3 inches since this morning.

It's my first Saturday at home in a long time.

Good morning snowy friends!

Yea for Janet! and good to see Paula! Hope all of the rest of you have an uneventful day, at least weather-wise. I have to go to work for a session and then hope to meet Kim to teach her to knit. I don't know if she will be able to get out where she lives. We are in town and Kay has already done the driveway. She is a gem!

Tonight someone gave us tickets to the Rockford Symphony so we are heading out to that. This is something we have never done despite all the years in Rockford, so it should be fun!

Have a great Saturday!

Hi Connie. Oh, I'm jealous of Kim! I'm sure the two of you will have a great time.

The Rockford Symphony sounds like a good time too.

Enjoy this snowy day. YAY for Kay going out and shoveling!

Good morning Lucy and Illinois!

With both my mother and MIL in the hospital (one north one south) I am at wits end. It is hard to spend time with both of the when visiting hours began at the same time today. Today we are going north, to MarianJoy Rehab Hospital to visit the MIL.  Tomorrow we may be able to visit both of them. Mom is doing better each day but she still needs oxygen. She is not as serious now as she was when she went in.
MIL is doing good too.

Everyday this week I've been gradually going down, .4 or .6 or .2 this morning I've gained a whole pound. This is totally crazy....I know  better  about not weighting in daily but I need to keep an eye on the scale during this stressful time....I will go back to once a week when mom gets released.....

Hope everyone has a great day! Keep warm and keep safe!

Hi Carol. I'm sorry for your family illnesses. Hopefully, soon all will be better. Now with the weather, traveling to visit both of them is difficult.

I know the evil of checking the scale and have done that too. It will come off, I promise!

Take care and stay safe while out today and tomorrow.

Hugs,
Lucy

 ((((((Hi Carol))))))

I understand how stressful this time can be, especially with both moms in hospitals in separate directions -- oh my!  It was bad enough for me when it was just my mom.  Of course she was 5 1.2 hours away which did not help.

Remember to take care of yourself too.  It will do no good to run yourself down during this time.  Make sure you are taking your vitamins and getting plenty of rest and fluids.

Thanks for the hugs Nancy...I'm trying hard to take care of me during all this. I am taking my vitamins and getting plenty of fluids....now protein....may be another story, but eventually they both will be back home.
