Good morning Monica and the rest of Illinois!

I am thinking of Janet and will post as soon as I hear anything from Jim.  I'm hoping that she gets to stay over.  I can't fathom having to go home right after a TT, but I guess they don't keep you in the hospital for much of anything anymore.......

We got about 2 inches of snow out in Rock City and it looks about the same here in Rockford.  It wasn't TOO bad coming in this morning in the dark and it should be fine when I go home at 2-2:30 this afternoon.

My boys are camping this weekend, so it is just Liv and I.  I am not sure what we will do.  Snuggling in for a movie-fest sounds like a great idea to me, but we will see.

Not too much going on at the moment.......

Everyone have a spectacular and safe day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Thanks for keeping us posted on Janet, Dawn.  I am thinking about her. I can't believe they send you home the same day after a TT, that sounds completely crazy to me!!
Glad your drive wasn't too bad and a weekend inside sounds good to me!

Up and about.  Not much to do today and sort of glad of that.  Two early mornings this week were two more than my body enjoys.  Then of course I cannot take my lasix when I am out and about so the scale does not know what is fat and what is fluids.  Staying even though so if I do not have a new client for a week I may still be able to hit 450 by my nut appointment next week.  Another client would still be nice though.  I can always get fluid off later as long as I do not go too long.

I am an Independent Pride Service Representative.  This is much akin to being the mythical Maytag repairman.  Activity has picked up recently but seems to be mostly because one of my competitors si no longer in the mix and of course that could change at the drop of a hat.

I am also trained in Computer Science, Mathematics, Theology, Real Estate(Texas), Commodities, Currencies and to a lesser extent in the the sciences.  This has made for an interesting mix of career options.

Good Afternoon everyone!

Carla - I am so sorry for you news, you will be in my prayers.

Snowy here today too.  I didn't have much of a problem getting here - but I think I might on the way to pick up my little guy from daycare.

Trying to walk more through out the day as I still don't have the energy to do any excersising, I know this is bad, but how do I do it when all I want to do it sit when I get home.  I dont' even want to knit, which is unusally for me.  I can feel my energy level rising a little, but yesterday  I had three presentations to 6th graders, 30 hour a peice, right in a row with no breaks, I was beat.

Stay safe on those roads if you are our and about!

Just listen to your body, you are still healing.  Did you have your surgery done Lap or Open?
Take it easy and be careful driving later too!

PS: what kind of presentations do you give?

I had lap on december 15 - I went back to work the next Monday, which I know now was too soon.

I am the Education Director for a Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Agency.  So my presentations to 6th graders are about bullying, cyber safety, friendship building, disaggrements, a little on sexual assault, that kind of stuff...pretty heavy for them.

Talk about bullying.  My boss was just telling me about her 14 year old daughter.  Her daughter has been having difficulties (she tried to kill herself) she was in a rehab place for 6 weeks.  Now that she is back at school the kids are tormenting her.  One kid text her a message saying "you should have killed your self" and yesterday some kid gave her a shirt that had written it "I have issues".  For a mentally unstable teen this is too much for her to handle and she will need to go back to the hospital soon.  Its really sad.  Is there any advise I could give her?
