Thursday Roll Call

Hello Nancy and GM to the rest of Ilinois WLSers and regular losers,

I have posted a move and ate for today.  I found some very nice tamales this morning on Palatine just a few blocks east of the turn to the Metra station.

I sure thought I read all the post yesterday.  I must have just read in the morning though and not returned later.  I was buzy yesterday expiditing a parts order.  Got it in my hands now so hopefully I can go whip that lift chair today.

Other than that I am sorry to here of so many having troubling times and I will throw in my support for Nancy's and Lisa's thought as well as my prayers on those situtions.

As to the weather and certainly many other things we cannot change.  I am really loving it all and am constantly surprised at how God provides as long as I am doing what I should be doing without worrying too much about how it will profit me.

Y'all have a fantastic day and suck up some of this sunshine if you can.

I'm posting later than usual today.  I've been busier than usual this morning.  But I'm taking a short break.

I do agree with everyone here it would be nice to live in a warmer climate.  Then I would never have to scrape my car windows again or drive in the snow at rush hour.  I hate this weather.  

Dawn- I will continue send lots of healing vibes to your neighbor.  Also thanks for your reply on the vitamins issue.  This is all a learning experience for me.  

Monica- good luck with your research paper.  I hate those.  I am hoping I never have to do one again.

Connie-  Your job sounds so interesting and rewarding.

Good Morning!

I had my first bout with 'too much in my pouch' this morning and became a little more intimately acquainted with our toilet at work - gross.  I didn't even eat anything.  I wasn't thinking and took a few big swigs of water and then a bunch of my vitamins AND THEN started drinking my shake...I don't know where my mind was.  Anyway - I knew it was coming and made it to the bathroom OK.  WOW...after that I am doing fine.  Back to sip, sip, sip...

I ate Taco Bell taco meat last night for dinner, because I forgot that I was going to be on the road and didn't have anything with me.  I just ordered a burrito with nothing on it but cheese and it went down really well.  I was a little nervous...but it did really good.

Just so you know..  I sometimes order a "side of beef" or a "side of spicey chicken" which is yummy.  Pintos and cheese is a favorite of mine too.  I usually mix the beef or chicken in with the pintos and cheese.  I can usually get at least two meals out of it.  Makes for a cheap lunch.

Ohhh...I didn't know you could do that.  Until yesterday I have only eaten at Taco Bell about a total of 6 times!  Thanks for the tip!

Hi everyone. Did you miss me? I have been very busy with mom, she is in a nursing home till she can get her hip replacement. It was sheduled for today at 8:30 am, but due to a very minor scratch on her hip, they post poned it. She is very upset. Only thing new with me is is my weight is going up. The holidays were rough and my band needs to be tighter. I am supposed to go back to the doctor mid January, but due to lack of job I can't afford it till february or march. In addition to all the woes, the insurance company isn't paying for my 2nd surgery because they are waiting on info from the doc! $42,000........ Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat! Other than that. I get to go to St. Louis with Alex this weekend for a bowling tournament. I love to watch him. Everyone have a great weekend!

I can't wait until 4:30..  I should be rolling into the driveway and plan on having my pj's on by 4:35!  LOL
I'm tired and just feel a bit icky.  I don't know why since I bathed this morning.  Just kidding.  I just think I'm still tired from the flu, holidays, grandkids, two jobs etc.

Nothing going on.. just trying to get thru the day.

Lisa -  Thank you for your concern w/ Calvin.  He appears to just be achy from the fall.

Glad Calvin isn't hurt too badly but I've been wondering how you are feeling.  The last time I saw you at Dr. R's you were not doing too well. Will you be at the support meeting in Feb?

Hello, how are you doing? I hope to make the Feb support group but not sure at this time,  we have two ppl off work due to one having surgery , she had a hysterectomy and one of the older men fell just before Christmas and broke his arm. He can't drive for about 4 more weeks. Then in Feb we have 2 ppl taking vacations so we shall see!  I really want to attend Feb's group since its about sleep issues... If I get a full nights sleep I am lucky, I just can't sleep any more. Oh well. Talk to ya later.
