Good Thursday Morning or Friday Eve!

It is a nice brisk 10 degrees outside!  Brrr.  Sounds like a perfect day to stay inside or to move south.  It is on days like this that I wonder just why I still live in Illinois.  Yesterday I talked to people in Hawaii and California who were complaining about how cold it was at the low 70's.  Oh poor babies.  Not much sympathy from me.  I do know it is cold to them but gosh, come and experience some Illinois winers and then discuss how cold it is. 

Lisa I hope your computer gets up and running soon.  That has got to be frustrating. 

Lucy, I hope your board meeting went good even though it was long. 

Monica, I am glad there is some peace in the family for now. 

Dawn, good luck in finding something to add to your income.  It hurts when the money is cut, especially when all the prices keep rising. 

Dee, I hope you are hanging in there. 

Crystal, I hope the days until you can submit everything for approval are flying and that work will soon be back to normal. 
Chris, I hope you get your get up and go back soon. 

I'm thinking about Stephie who had surgery on Monday.  She should be home soon.  Hope she is doing better. 

Connie, are you back in the groove at work?

Dave, keep up the good work that you are doing.

Paul, congrats on keeping that scale moving. 

For everyone else, my mind just went blank.  I can picture you but not your names right now.  I apologize.  I hope all is going well.  I do hope you are doing well in your ventures.

I started, but then deleted a roll call post when I saw you beat me to it! lol

Where is everyone this morning??  It's late!  lol  I wish I was still  that's for sure.  I woke up with a sinus headache already.  Had to get the kids off to school too, 1 down 2 to go yet.  Then I have to go get my blood drawn to check if they made a mistake about my Vitamin D last time (which was 3 months ago!  I want to know why they waiting so long to let me know!).

then it's home and more homework for me.  I have 2 more chapters in my Law Liability and Ethics book and then I have to go a research project...oh joy!

Nancy, I agree with you. I'd be thrilled if we had 70's. I suppose though if we lived there, we'd complain about it being cold.

My board meeting went fairly well. We're trying to get to know each other as a working group. Many are new to the board scene and need to learn how it functions. That will take time.

Monica, I don't envy your research project. Ugh. I had to do one for my degree and I hated the topic I selected. So that made it even harder to get through. But, I did and Aced it. So can you.

Dee - darling you need a lot of rest and time for yourself!

Me, well it's another fun day at work. But at least I have a job. Every day I hear the news with more layoffs, hours cut, benefits reduced, etc... It's darn depressing.

Stay warm and buckle up for another snow event all day tomorrow. Yikes!!

Good Morning all.

Nothing going on with me.

Not at work yet. I am trying to go back, but I can't get ahold of the doctor for a release.

Trying to get all my junk together foe this semester's classes.

I am taking 18 hours this semester. (At least for now.) I may be dropping a class. (I hate english)

I can take it during the summer by itself.

I finally got all my grades for last semester. (I don't know if I told you all) I got 3 A's and a B.

Well, I gotta get my son to school. It is too cold to walk today.

Maybe do some walking around Walmart this AM.

Good Morning on a cold day.

I actually until a bit after 7 this morning. Very unusual for me. Of course it is still dark out until almost 7, and that sure doesn't help me wake up. And, if I would get to bed earlier, that would help me wake up too.

Lucy, have a great day at work. I am now only working 3 days a week, by choice. I decided that I am to old to not take it a bit easier.

Dawn, i know it is hard to take a cut in pay, especially when you have a family and bills to pay.

Nancy, heres hoping your day goes fast and you can spend cuddle time with the fur babies tonight. 
My supervisor at work is getting a new cord setup for me. Hopefully I will be back in business by Monday.

Christina, I hope Calvin isn't hurting as much from his fall.

I will not be online for the next couple of days. We are leaving for St. Louis, and no internet.

Good morning!

Yesterday I interviewed potential medical students. It's always fun to see their enthusiasm  and youth. They could be my great grandchilren in age! Makes me feel old too but in a good way. I wouldn't be their age. It's one of the activities I really enjoy each year. Today is a regular day which is OK too.

Do you ever think how much time everyone spends discussing the weather? Like we could ever do anything about it!?! LOL I'm just as guilty as anyone but it is a true waste of time!

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

I am working this morning but already looking forward to heading home.  We will figure out how to tighten our belts with the income cut, but I am looking on the bright side and REALLY enjoying spending the extra time with my kids.  Pretty soon, they will be too old to want to spend any time with me, so I am enjoying it while I can.  The other plus is that I am going to try doing my exercise when I get home.....that way, I don't have to get up at 4 am! 

The neighbor boy who was in that bad car accident is "holding his own".  He had lots of bleeding on the brain requiring surgery and a colapsed lung in addition to a broken neck.  He is now in a drug-induced coma.  There was some general improvement yesterday so his family is hopeful.  Please continue sending that healing energy his way, thank you.

Nothing else too interesting for me today.....thinking of all of you and wishing nothing but the best!

Good morning everyone,

I would love 70 degree weather also.  I don't ever remember being this cold.  We lived in Panama for 3 years...I used to complain about missing the change of seasons.  (it was a constant 75-85 degrees, the leaves on the trees would be green one day, brown the next, on the ground the next, and grown back on the tree--all withing 3 days or so...)  I don't know what I was thinking...I would absolutely love that weather now.

I go this morning to get my hair shaped up.  I am in the process of letting it grow out, so basically, just getting the split ends cut off.  Usually I have to get it thinned out, but not right now--RNY has taken care of that.  

I also have to go get a new driver's license.  Usually I just get the sticker and never go into the DMV, but for the first time in 25 years I actually weigh less that what it states on my driver's license.

Another slow day here. Woke up last night with a stuffy nose and sore throat and still feeling bad today. So, I guess it's my turn for a cold. I really can't complain too much since this will be the first time I've been sick since the summer. I think I will make some homemade chicken soup for dinner. Maybe that will help with my cold and warm me up I hope you all have a great day. It maybe cold out but at least the sun is shining.
