Happy Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning!

It sounds like everyone has something difficult going on in their lives. I think things seem worse in the winter when the days are dark and short. I know I feel like the leash is shorter then.

I have to teach this morning and interview potential students this afternoon. That always makes for a different kind of day. What is nice is that I'm done at 5 instead of 7. It's weird to have an evening at home!

Have a good day and stay warm!

Good morning Illinois,

Just the usual stuff going on here today. Getting the grands to and from school. Hope to get some me time in today.  Need to work on protein, water journalling and exercise.  I guess that means get back on track!!  I'm going to do the step aerobics on WII fit today.  I'm getting pretty good at it and I like to do it.

We only got about 3/4 inch of snow last night, but the roads are a little slick so far.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning All -
I'm not totally convinced I'm completely over my cold I've had for two weeks.  I thought I was but the last two days I've started feeling symptoms again.  UGH!!!!
Not too much going on.  Just working both jobs.  Calvin slipped out in the parking lot at work yesterday and hit his head.  He had his cell phone, had to call inside the restaraunt and have them come out and help him get up.  I tried to talk him in to having his head checked out just to make sure he's ok but he declined and said if he's still feeling bad today he'll go in.  He was feeling really sore today.  Today and tomorrow is his regular scheduled days off this week so hopefully he can just stay low key and get some needed RNR.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Crystal, glad to hear that the fans are off.  That HAS to be better.  I can't even imagine how drafty that must have been.  I hope things get back to normal for you soon.

Carol---glad to hear that you mom may get to move to a regular room today and that your MIL is doing so well.

Dee--I am also sorry to hear of the cause of your friend's death.  I am thinking of you.

Paul---getting on the exercise should be helpful to you and congrats on the level 2!

Nancy--enjoy your non-eventful day.  Sometimes, that is a blessing.

Lucy--please get some rest tonight.  It is not good to let yourself get too tired---it leads to too hungry for some strange reason.

Lisa---will a new cord fix your computer?  I hope it is that minor.

Paulette---Good to see you!  Take care of those grands, but take care of yourself too.  It is very important to remember to take good care of "us".

Monica--I hope the peace holds for a while.  Enjoy your quiet day too.

I am working today, but also thinking of brushing up the resume.  I figure that it can't really hurt to take a look at what is available.  I would LOVE to find something closer to home, or even that I could do FROM home.  The 8 hour loss per week is really going to hurt and one of us may need to find something to fill in that missing income.  Problem is that we are already SO busy, I don't know where we will fit it in.  I would also like to take some classes, but with less $$$$, that would be difficult.  I wonder if the new administration will change things or if the President Elect will turn out to be just another politician?

We did not get but a dusting of snow where I live, but it looks like Rockford got an inch or so.

Also-----for those that pray and send good energy.......A young neighbor of ours was in a terrible car crash on Monday evening and was taken by helicopter to a Rockford hospital with head injuries that required immediate surgery.  Please send your healing energy and prayers to his family.

Everyone have a warm and safe day!

I don't think you ever met this family.  The girl (Jessica) used to babysit after school and summers for David & Olivia.  Thankfully, she and her young toddler were not in the car.

Her oldest brother was driving and her other brother was the one that was injured so badly.  I have not had an update on his condition since I first heard about it yesterday.  My neighbor's son Matt (whom you probably HAVE met) was at the house nearby the crash when one of the kids came for help and he had to go to Jessica's house to tell her and her mother that the boys were hurt.

It is so stupid and sad.  The hill that they lost control on is less than a mile from our house and I go over it every single day.  It is one of those "whoopsie" type hills if you hit it just right, but no one should EVER try to "jump" that hill in the dark when it is icy (let alone after drinking......).

Thanks for the good thoughts, I appreciate it.

Hey everyone, Stephiejo has surgery on Monday.  She is really sore, and I thought that you all could send her a get well soon post on her blog.  She could use the encouragement from everyone.

Good Morning Illinois,

Not much going on today.  It looks like I will be able to Fixing it will be no where near the workout diagnosing it was though.  The manufacturer agreed with my diagnoses though.  On a twelve year old chair it can be very difficult or very simple.  I guess I am the one that can be difficult.  There are too many changes in design throught the years to make it worthwhile to stock all of the possible parts.  The new chairs are much easier to diagnose and there is really no set of instructions for diagnosing the older ones so it is really nice to have a tech who see a lot more chairs at the manufacturer to talk with.  I have ordered the part and it should be here tomorrow.  I can track that on my computer.
