Happy Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am happy to report that we don't have the fans going anymore!!!!  It seems so quiet now.  We do have the dehumidifiers still but they aren't as loud.  We won't have phones for another 2-3 weeks!!!  Someone asked yesterday how we do business without phones.  There is a large group of people at one of our branch offices in Woodale and one group at our Elmhurst branch.  Since some of us don't use our phones that often we stayed in Bolingbrook.  We can use our cell phones and get reimbursed.  They were saying that 60 gallons of water a minute for almost an hour was dumped on our office.  YIKES!!!  That's a lot of water.

Carol- I hope your mom is doing better.

Dee- I'm very sorry for your friend's untimely death.  My prayers are with you.

The ride into work was fine.  No slipping or slidding.  Drive safe and stay warm.

Good Morning Crystal and Illinois!

Crystal, I am glad your work place is back in the quiet zone.  That sure was a lot os water that got dumped on your office!

It is hump day!    I am excited that the week is half over.  Our dusting of snow yesterday turned out to be about 3 inches with more coming down as I came home last night.  It fell fast and furious.  Was relieved to get home and inside.  It was a night to cuddle up in my robe and try to stay warm.

No special plans for today other than work.

Monica, hope your boys have made a peace pack.  There were three girls in our family and we sure worked hard in getting our parents hair gray.  While it wasnt physical, it sure could get mean.  One sister took the curlers out of another's head while she was sleeping because they were "hers" as a typical example.  You can imagine the screeching over that one!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Crystal and Nancy and IL friends.

I'm glad you got rid of the noisy fans. Soon, everything will be back to normal. Hang in there!

Nancy - yep! last night I was surprised too at the amount of snow and I had to clean off the car after my board meeting.

Dee - my condolences over the loss of a dear friend!

I'm exhausted this morning after a 3 hour board meeting last night. Then I came home and watched the Biggest Loser and went to bed at 1 a.m. Up at 5, and shoveled snow from the walkway and both driveways. I did my elderly neighbors driveway too.

Now I'm enjoying a HOT cup of coffee.

It's a little slick on the roads. Drive carefully everyone! Have a good day.

Hugs,
Lucy

Lucy, we watched Biggest Loser last night too, I was so afraid for that guy, Jerry, when he fainted like that, how scary.  I am not sure if I like how they sent 9 people home though...it kinda broke my heart that they had to leave already.  I haven'****ched this show in a while..but I will watch this season.
Did you see that one guy had gastric bypass too....really makes ya realize that this isn't the "easy way out" like so many people think!

Hi Monica. Yes, I caught that about the one who had gastric bypass! It sure got me.

I felt bad for the people who had to go home after the 1st week. I didn't think that was fair at all.

I was concerned about the 60 y/o man who passed out. I was surprised that they allowed him back on the show - the liability issues.

Good  Morning Illinois,

Nancy. we didn;t get anymore then about 1.2 inch of the white stuff. Not sure what today will bring.

I am off towork without the computer today. I really don't see the reason to take it since the cord has decided to break,

I need to leave early as it is, since I need to stop and get gas,

Mondays Dr. visit was uneventful. I had gained 7 lbs over the last 2 months, so I was happy he gave me a fill. I am getting back on track,

 late,

Hugs
Lisa

Good morning friends!  I was happy that we were not in the major part of the snow fall.  I would estimate that we got about an inch.  Also, the scale was friendly this morning and I'm down about a pound.  I've decided to start my excersize program on Monday.  School doesn't start for a while, but I figured I would just overlap everything.  Last night I completed my Reiki Level 2 training and certification, so I'm now a Level 2 practioner!  I decided several months ago, that I would not work toward the master level for at least a year, so now I'm able to focus all my energy towards the massage training.  Speaking of energy, I'm very low in that department today.  I think my body is fighting a bug and is directing all my "juice" toward that.  As decadent as this may sound, I can hardly wait for the coffee to kick in!  Tonight is a free night so after dinner we can just relax  Have a warm and safe day!

Good Morning everyone!

Crystal, I am so glad that the fans have been shut off and that things are getting cleaned up.  That is a lot of water!

Today I don't plan on doing much, just don't feel like it!  lol  I will work on some more homework and light cleaning.  I will pick up Tyler from wrestling later and that's it.  Nothing exciting around here....the boys are on their best behavior now because they know how mad I was on Monday!  Tyler even went up to Jacob yesterday, apologize and hugged him!!  I about fell outta my chair!  lol

Stay warm and drive safe today if you have to go out!

Good morning Crystal and Illinois!

Mom may be moved from ICU today...I talked with her doctor and he said the cardiologist said she also has a leaky heart valve. She will need to see him once she is out of the hospital but the first concern is getting the rest of the fluid out. We are seeing some improvement there. The swelling in her legs now is minimal. My aunt went with me to visit my mom yesterday and when I took her home it was raining. When I turned into her subdivision I slid right thru the stop sign. It was very icy. Thank God there were no other cars in that intersection. I got her home safely and dreaded the half hour ride home. The main streets were not as bad but I didn't get to the gym as I had hoped.

MIL's knee replacement surgery went well. She has been up walking and doing physical therapy.

Talk with you all later....have a great day and keep safe!
Carol
