Janet,

Thanks for the story, I needed that laugh.  Sounds like something I would do.  Did you all have icicles hanging from your nose?

Good luck at the PS.  I know exactly what you mean about being nervous.  I am actually glad I was sound asleep before they took me into the O.R.

Have a great day!

Dee

Good morning Dee and IL friends.

I am sorry to hear about everyone's woes this morning.

I agree with everyone - Dee stay off the roads! Sorry to hear about the funeral, but congrats on the small size of clothes. WTG!

Crystal - perhaps management needs to know that the floor is dry. How are you communicating with anyone without any phones? I pray that this environment gets better for you.

Monica - yikes, you've got your hands full with the boys. I pray that they are better today. You need a break from all of this as well as being sick! My thoughts and prayers are with you sweetie!

Well, me - I'm at work. Tonight is my first Board meeting as President of my homeowners association. I can tell from the packet, it's going to be a long evening!

Those of you in Southern IL, please be careful! Those icy roads are darn hazardous.

Hugs,
Lucy

Lucy,

I thought of you yesterday.  The stores here are actually putting out spring and summer clothes already, and I saw a bikini.  It was pink with cute little flowers on it.

I am hoping we don't have to go any where, and I can walk to check on my friends family if I have too.

Have fun at you meeting tonight, and hopefully it won't last real long.

Take care,

Dee

Good Morning,
I got up this morning and got ready...I'm taking the boys to story time this morning.  They read a few storys and then we do a craft.  It kills time and them when we get home, it's lunch time and then nap time!!  I have been on this stall for so long!!!  Something has to give!  My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone having a hard time this week.

Good morning Dee and Illinois!

Just a quick check-in before I'm off and running to the hospital.
Mom still has a lot of fluid on her lungs. Hopefully today there will be some change for the better. Still trying to get back on track. With the hospital visits it just makes it a little harder. Hopefully I will be able to make it to the gym tonight.

Have a great day everyone, keep safe when out there driving.

Good morning Dee and the rest of Illinois.

Congrats on the smaller sizes, and stay safe today.  Hopefully, better days are ahead for you too.

I am at work, but my hours got cut by 8 per week yesterday.  That will be a HUGE chunk of change out of my paycheck (and we NEVER got paid for lunch and still don't).  We will tighten our belts at home and maybe look for something part time for one of us to take up the slack.

The good news is that I plan on taking my 8 hours by leaving early throughout the week so that I can be home when the kids get home and cook nice dinners again.  They seemed actually happy to see me yesterday afternoon and we enjoyed each other's company while they did chores and I made dinner.

I made scalloped potatoes and ham for the first time in my life and they LOVED it!  I just ate 7-8 pcs. of the ham, some asparagus and 3-4 slices of the potatoes.  Who knew that it could be so good?  Tonight is tacos and tomorrow is a pot roast dish.

Everyone please stay safe and warm today and stay inside if the ice is too bad.  It just is NOT worth it.

Tell someone that you love them!

Dawn, please share the recipes or how you made the ham and scalloped potatoes last night.  that sounds so good and every one here loves ham!  We had tacos last night and are doing a pot roast thing in the crock pot later in the week. Tonight is chicken here...lol

Good morning!

Not much happening here.  I will go for my post surgery follow-up dr's visit this afternoon.  My DH stayed home today to make sure we make it safe and sound.  It started snowing sometime this morning, so I hope the driving will be okay.

Yesterday, I had a bloody BM again.  Dr R does not think it is from hemmeroids at this point.  Nothing else happened to cause concern.  I checked my BP a couple of times and it was alright.

I was supposed to get a delivery of a plant or flowers or something.  I was upstairs and didn't answer the door.  They left a note instead of the delivery.

After my DH got home, we popped out to Wal-Mart for a couple of things.  I actually drove for the first time in over 2 weeks.  I didn't do much walking there, but the walking I did do felt okay.  For the last couple of days, whenever I was walking around, my pulse would get quite high.

Wishing everyone a safe, warm, and happy day.

Good Morning Dee & IL -

Not much going on again today, just working both jobs.  I'm still trying to get back to a normal schedule and I'm finding my butt dragging.  I guess from being sick and off work I was quite lazy and now I'm paying the price.

Hope everyone has a great day!
