I think you're getting a RNY, right? This board has lots of people who had that and the LapBand, so I'm sure you can get specific questions answered by this group. Some may have even had your same doc, just feel free to ask any questions.

Thank you for such a warm welcome. Its very inspirational and means a lot to me. Their has been alot of bumps in the road to get me where I am today. and to have so many great people with words of encouragment is so great! To many times obese ppl hear the negatives tht we forget their are other ppl out their that are just like us, and we can receive postive encouragment. Thank you again!

I am unsure of the surgery path I will take. It will not be the lapband because I feel this isnt for me. I have looked a great deal on RNY and the sleeve, but someone just got me looking into DS. I'm totally clueless. I know nothing on the next step. I just know I go in for my consulatation. what happens from there, is the unknown. I'm pretty scared. it even wants to give me a generic breakdown on the steps that would be great!
