Good Morning everyone!

Today I am taking Tyler to wrestling practice and then running to Office Max for a few things.  I LOVE office supply stores...lol
Then I will be taking down all the Christmas decorations and putting them away til next year!  I am glad that the holidays are over and things can get back to somewhat of a routine again.  (well when the kids go back to school anyway)
Oh I will be stopping for haircuts for me and Tyler on the way home from picking him up too!  forgot about that..lol

Tomorrow we have a wrestling meet at Grant High School which is WAY up north somewhere...have to find directions for that.  It will be an all day thing, so there goes my Saturday!  Sunday will be getting everything in order and ready for the boys to go back to school on Monday.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, warm and safe day!

Monica, your life is just as hectic as the rest of ours. Honestly now, what would you be doing if not what you are doing?

Good morning friends!

Last day of actual vacation and a hair cut appointment. Big excitement! Oh well. I've enjoyed the time off. I certainly learned these two weeks that I could easily handle retirement.

We'll be heading for warmth one of these days and so that will be fun. Getting out of northern IL in the cold is necessary  for mental health!

I'm not ready to clean up the decorations, but it probably will be sometime this weekend.

Have a great day!

Today is my 1st post op appointment. I am about 3.5 weeks out. But the Doctor was on vacation.

I am excited I feel like I have already lost a hundred pounds, but I am sure it is more like 20 or something.

I got a tiny piece of chichen stuck yesterday so I am still feeling a little weak.

I was cooking and it looked like it wanted me to eat it. It was sitting there in the pan taunting me. When I got it into my mouth I realized it was an evil plan by the chicken to burn my mouth, so I chewed it a couple times and swallowed it. (Not enough chewing) So it got stuck. I didn't thow up, but really wanted to. (I think the chicken was holding on.) I ended up not eating anything else last night. Just warm water. It made me feel better.

I think I am going to eat a protein shake and go to the Doctors.

Pray that I lost a lot to make all this pain worth it.

God Bless

I had to laugh at this because last night I was browning some ground beef and my 14 yr old was standing by me talking and all of a sudden he reached into the pan and grabbed a piece out and ate it, yes burning his mouth as well.  When I looked at him like he was crazy he laughed and said that it was "taunting him" so he had to eat it!  LOL
I'm sorry your chicken got stuck...that hurts.  I have had it happen once, from not chewing well, but mine was pork and I did have to throw up to get it out!  yuck!
good luck at your dr appt, let us know how it goes!

 Good Morning Everyone!

I posted three pictures that show the damage to my face after fainting Monday.  My DD and the grandkids may come over today.  We still have to take down Christmas decorations.  Maybe this weekend, maybe next week.

Not much else going on, just getting  my liquids in along with vitamins and meds.  Down almost 10 pounds since the surgery (not including the 10 pounds I gained the first

Have a great Friday.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!!!

The Jeff Dunham show was HILARIOUS!!!!  I laughed so hard, I cried and my abs hurt.  We had a GREAT time!  The hotel we stayed at was very nice also and a nice little "get away".

Our New Year's party was a huge success.  Todd decided that costumes would be fun for those who wanted to wear them and it was a blast.  Todd dressed as "Father Time" then changed into "Baby New Year" after midnight.  The best costumes belonged to our young neighbors.  The dad (6' 7") was the "Beer Fairy" and his 1.5 year old toddler was the "Root Beer Fairy", while the beautiful young wife came in a towel.  They were great!  Of course, there are stories behind these costumes and everyone had a good laugh.

Everyone was gone by 2 am, and my boys slept most of yesterday.  Unfortunately, Liv had a bit of stomach upset most of the day.  Not sure if it was too much junk or the stomach flu.  I guess we will wait and see how she is today.

I am working today, then tomorrow is the "Bull Nut Feed" in our neighboring town.  Since surgery, I have not gone to this event, but we might ALL go tomorrow as the kids are now old enough.  This event is where they serve a delicacy (bull nuts) and all the hunters bring in dishes made with their hunting success of the past year.  In the past there has been bear, raccoon, turtle, duck, squirrel, rabbit, buffalo, and lots of venison.  There is home brewed beer and home made wine available also.  Everyone just brings stuff and visits and plays cards.  It is an interesting get together.  I know that Todd and David are planning on attending, not too sure about Liv and I.

They are all home today and I am hoping that they take down the tree.  If they don't, we will do it tomorrow so that we can set up the new computer.

I wish to thank everyone for their friendship and support this past year and let's make 2009 even better!

Stay safe and warm and have a spectacular day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning,

I am watching the kids today.  Not doing much other than that.  We will do some crafts or something.  Maddie and I will probably go to story time tonight at Barnes and Nobel.  I got up at 6:00 am and did 40min of weight training.  I still have good restriction, but I am just craving chocalate like crazy lately!  And the problem is that I can eat it and it goes down very easy!!  I guess I just need to put in place my will power and remember what I looked like a year ago.  Have a safe and great Friday!
