HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE EVERYONE!!

I was up late and was going to post on Tues board but figured I would start todays posts instead.

I hope everyone has a healthy and safe New Year's Eve.  For us we are staying home.  We have gone out in the past and it is more work than it is worth.  We usually make lots of appetizer stuff, and watch movies and try to make it to midnite. Sometimes we are happy to make it to NY's Midnight.  We will see what happens tomorrow ( or tonite, I guess).

I havent decided on what to make yet, but I will probably go to eggface's site and pick out some cool stuff and give it a try.  Ihave tried alot of her recipies, and so far, they are all great.

I just wanted to take the time to say how important all of you are in my life and how much you all have contributed to my weight loss surgery.  You are all great people who truely aare about others and are soooo suppotive.

I wish each and everyone one of you a Happy New year!  Many blessings to you all in this new year, a happier healthier world for each of us!

Hello everyone

I'm at work.  Its still a mess here.  Our department was effected by the flood.  The carpets are wet and any computers that were on the floor were damaged (of course mine was).  The phones and fax lines are still down, the printers are down, and we don't have access to the network drive.  They have these big industrial fans going non-stop to help dry the floors.  Its so loud and cold in here.  It really is a miserable place to be right now.

For New Year, I never go out.  I'd  rather stay in.  I probably won't make it to midnight.  That's waaayyy past my bed time.  I get up so early in the morning.

I'm looking forward to the new year ahead.  I will be getting my surgery soon and I can't wait to be thinner and healthier.

Have a nice New Year.

Happy New Year's Eve my friends!

I too am grateful for all the support and friendship I have received from all of you. You have enriched my life!

We will be at home tonight too. I will probably make it to midnight, but that is because there is a yarn sale on line which starts at midnight eastern time (11 for me) so I might be shopping! We certainly will be knitting because I gave Kay some lovely pink yarn for Christmas and she is making a pink sweater to wear in the spring. The yarn is cotton and silk.

Have a wonderful and safe New Year's and stay warm!

Good Morning Eileen and Illinois

Well, I think I am among the living and will try work this morning.  If I dont show up, I dont get paid for the holiday tomorrow.  Go figure.    And, since I am out of vacation and sick leave for the year, I am not being paid for the days missed, so that would mean a whole week without pay.  Ugh!

If I cant make it though the day, I hope they will let me come home.  I will at least have tried.  Was so irked at my doctors office yesterday.  Called again and they were to call in a prescription.  I went to pick it up last night and guess what?  They did not call it in.  When I got home, I called and left a message on their answering maching telling them just what I thought about that.  The pharmacy will be closed by the time I get off of work today and probably closed tomorrow so I guess I am on my own.

Fluffer is now settling down and doesnt need to be held 24/7.  I think he is finially becoming detraumatized.

No plans for tonight except for vegging out.  Never have been a great one to go out to celebrate.  Tried it a few times but it just is not me.  I like my sleep too much.

Hope everyone has a great New Years Eve.  If you do go ou****ch out for the other driver!

Happy New Year!

Good morning and Happy New Year!
I will also be staying home tonight.  I really don't think that we will make it to midnight, we are both early bedtime people.  We usually follow Dick Clark in New York, and celebrate with those folks.  I have been following my high protein/low carb diet for the past few days now.  The only problem is that I get so strict with myself that I don't get enough calories in.  It's either feast or famine with me.  Over the past years I have found that if I don't eat a breakfast that I am not hungry and I don't cheat all day.  I know that it is a very unhealthy way but don't understand why this happens...  The tree and decorations come down today so that I can have a nice clean house for the new year.  Everyone please stay save and have a Happy New Year!

Happy Rockin New Years Eve to all my IL friends!

Crystal, I'm sorry to hear that your workplace is in such ruins! Hopefully by Monday things will be better.

Today's a workday for me and then I'll be visiting with a friend.

Tomorrow, not so sure yet!

Everyone please stay safe and if you venture on the roads tonight, please be careful.

I thank everyone here for their support this past year and I'm sure that in 2009, I will need all of you even more!

Happy and Healthy New Years 2009 everyone - posters and lurkers as well.

Hugs and Love,
Lucy

Good morning and Happy New Year's Eve!

I am off to work!  We are staying in tonight as well.  We will probably have nice dinner and watch a movie or two.  I probably won't make it to midnight lol.  I am going to try to get up to see Isle today.  I only have half a day.

Have a great day!

Happy New Years Eve to my dear dear friends.

We will be going out tonight, we are going to our club for dinner and the band starts at 9. We will probably be home by 11 if not 10. Hubby was at work at 5 this morning, and that makes for a vry very long day.
I am off to work.  I am hoping to get home by 4:30, but not really counting on it.

Thank you for all the freindship and support during this past year.

Stay safe, stay warm, watch for the idiots on the road, and stay sober. New laws go into effect at midnight, and I am sure the police will be out in force.

Happy New Year's Eve.

We are staying in tonight, my sister and her hubby are coming over for snacks and to play games.  We are so exciting...lol

Nothing else going on here, just staying warm.  I thought the wind last night was gonna tear the house down, it was horrible here.

Stay safe, warm, and have a happy healthy and blessed new year!
