Good morning Lucy and the rest of my Illinois friends!
Just a quick "Hello" this morning as I need to get the kids into Rockford for their shift at the museum today. Not sure what I will do while they are working......
We had an "interesting" Christmas Eve at my in-laws (as usual) and a nice, quiet day just us and the "little" kids yesterday. We had finger foods like meatballs, shrimp, lunchmeat, cheese and pigs in a blanket yesterday.
Amber and her family will be coming out for a big dinner tomorrow night and they will open their presents then.
I wish I could take down our decorations today, because we got a second computer for Christmas that I would like to get set up.

Good morning Lucy and the rest of my IL family, Boy am I glad Christmas if over, we had a house full yesterday in fact I would say it was over full , we all had a nice time and lots of good food, I did get everything back to normal this morning still have to take the tree day later, My SIL is coming tomorrow if you can and shampoo my carpets for us, She and her HD have a carpet cleaning business and they always give gift cert. out to have Capet cleaned so that will be nice,
Not much going on here today , we were going to Menard's later but I think I will wait until I know the Ice is gone, I don't walk well on Ice,

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Happy Holidays everyone!
I know it has been a long time since I posted regularly, but I am going to try to be back now. We have had alot going on here and now that Christmas is over, I should have more time.
We went on our Disney trip from Dec7-14 and had an awesome time. We met up with lots of online friends during what they call Mousefest and participated in lots of great meet and greets! We even did a scavenger hunt through Magic Kingdom with about 12 other groups of people! THe weather was chilly,( for Florida) but nothing can get to us in our "Happy Place!" My husband and I are going back in May by ourselves, no kids! I am really looking forward to doing Disney adult style! We bought into the Disney vacation club back in Sept and will be able to go more often now. I know some people don't "get it" but we LOVE Disney. It makes us happy.
We all had the stomach flu the week before we went to Disney, and of course I was the last to get it, and got it the day before we left, so I spent the last day, packing and in the bathroom, what a nightmare! I took enough Immodium and by the time we left the next morning I was able to stay out of the bathroom long enough to fly and get to the resort. I was really dehydrated and it took many days to catch up with the fluids. I did ok though at Disney with the food and drink. I should have drank more, but you are so busy it is hard to remember. I did well with my meals, and we walked so much!! It is kind of a good vacation in that you are guaranteed to get your walking in. It was a delight to bring Brigid there as she is at the age where she knows all the characters and thinks they are all real. She reallly buys into the magic. She was so excited about it all. Noah still loves the magic of it too, so it was fun to see him share it with his sister. Of course the Christmas decorations and the Christmas cinderella castle was beautiful! I will try and post some pictures. All in all it was a great trip.
It was so close to Christmas though that when we got home, it has been nuts! Shopping to finish, meals to plan etc... Im kind of glad it is all over. Now on to 2009!
Some good news here, I got on the scale this morning and I finally made the 70 pounds gone forever mark! I am so happy!
I really want to be down alot before we go to Disney in May so I can buy some new shorts etc... for the trip.
I have been keeping up as much as I can with everyone, I hope everyone that was under the weather is feeling better. I wish everyone a healthy and happy new year. For those of you with upcoming surgeries be it wls or plastics or reconstructive or for other health reasons, know that you are in our prayers!
It feels good to be back, and I will try to stay back!
