Friday Icy Roads Call

Good morning IL friends.

I'm still at home waiting for the road conditions to improve. I'm scared of icy roads and after hearing about the multiple car accidents, I'm waiting for a few hours to go to work.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Stay home for a few hours if you can. I'm a safe driver but there are those idiots who think they can speed through. I don't want to be near any of them. It's not worth it.

Take care!

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning everyone!

I just woke up and didn't know we had icy roads.  Yesterday went ok.  I wrote down everytime I had some protein drink or water.  I also wrote down the times I took vitamins, the heparin shots, and the pain killer.  The suggested schedule they give you at Dr R's office doesn't leave time for naps.  I know I took a couple of those yesterday.

So far, I seemed to be gettiing in 2 oz of protein and about 2oz of water in every hour that I was awake.

I'll try to call the doctor's office today.  I have a piece of gauze where the J-P drain was removed.  I wanted to know if I still need to leave the gauze on or what.  It's still white on top.  It's covered with some plastic type of stuff.

Have a safe and happy day.

Good morning Ilse. Yes, the reports are very bad. So many crashes out there on every highway and tollway.

You reminded me of my early WLS journey when it was too hard to get everything in. I was always so full. Either it was liquid med time, drink water time, stop drinking water time or time to have my juice meal. It will take time but it does get better.

It's a good idea to call the doctor's office about removing the dressing from your JP drain site.

Take care!

No, I guess I replied to the correct post.  It was just that Lucy's post was to that post as well.

I wish for everyone a safe day.  Stay in if you can until the ice melts and then watch out for the places where thic**** forms and hides like the right lane and turn lanes.

I am not sure why I woke up so early this morning.  Perhaps the ice woke me up.  It always starts my mind running when I wake up automatically with less than nine hours sleep.  My mind goes to who I can pray for and unfortunately all too often I later find out that who I prayed for had a crisis at that hour.  Often though, as well, someone is relieved of a crisis or has the type of crisis that is an opportunity for growth.  I am going to have some Earl Gray decaf this morning.

Hello everyone

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  I had a great Christmas.  I seen all my family, had some yummy food, my daughter loved her presents and I loved mine.  My daughter bought me a bullet.  I mentioned I needed a personal blender for protien shakes and she bought me one.

I heard there is really icy conditions out there today.  It makes me thankful I don't have to work today.  I did plan on doing groceries today and taking my daughter to the DMV (she needs to get a new license since she turned 21 in October).  Also I know some people think this is crazy but I also take down my decorations today.

I'm glad to hear you doing well Ilse.

Have a great day

Good morning Crystal. I'm still home and trying to decide when to attempt to go to work.

I'm happy to hear that you had a great Christmas. It's supposed to get better by 9 a.m. I'm an early morning person, so waiting to leave is killing me. But, I rather be delayed than have a car wreck.

I understand about taking down the decorations. I will do that when the temp rises since I have to store my decorations in the garage.

Take care!

I do not think its crazy. My daughter took her tree down last night. She said then the kids have the extra space to play. I will take down one tree today. The other I will leave up for a while since its not in any needed space.
