Hello everyone.

I'm so happy I don't have to go to work today.  It looks nasty outside.  Last night I drove home slowly with no problems.  I slipped and slided a couple of times but I had it under control.  I'm done with any and all shopping.  Now I have some cooking and baking to do today.

My daughter stayed up late filling out applications for internships for the summer.  There's a chance I won't get to spend summer with her this year.  That's ok, I really hope she gets one of these internships.  One is in Maine!!!

I hope Ilse and Carla heal quickly from there surgeries.  I hope Fluffer finds his way home.

Have a wonderful day

Good morning!

I helped my sister yesterday at her work, and when she brought me home, she went to turn into my driveway and almost took out DH's car.  We got turned around though, all I could do was look at her and say again??...lmao

DH thinks I have lost my mind.  He had to be at work at 5, and I got up with him and started baking and cleaning.  I want to get most of it done so I can enjoy tomorrow.

I am still having shoulder problems, and not getting any relief.  I go back to the doc the end of January, but I think it is gonna have to be earlier.

Still thinking of Carla, Ilse, and Fluffer.

Have a great Christmas Eve.

Good morning everyone!

I am just sitting here trying to get myself going and off to work!  I only have to work half a day today so thats good.  The commute yesterday was slow but otherwise ok.  I am hoping for the same today.  I am going to try to get upstairs to see Isle today if she is up to visitors.  I wanted to try after work yesterday but with the weather being as bad as it was I just wanted to get home.  I have more time today to visit.  I hope fluffer finds his way home.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Last night was more uncomfortable. Around 1am, a new patient was brought in to the other bed. It was around that time I thought I should trying the WR again, so they had to undo some things, so I could go. I also had a nebulizer treatment at that time. I hadn't had any pain meds for a while, so it really hurt to get up. My knees were hurting more too. I'm sure the rain outside really helps. When the respiratory department was setting up for my CPAP, I said in the middle of the night, they had to get someone out to raise the level of the O2 to prevent to monitor from going off. She said the setting was fine. It seemed to be until I got pain meds and started breathing more deeply. Then they had to get someone out to adjust the O2 level again.

I finally got up around 5:40. I had a go at the WR and did a little walking around. I don't want to lay back down, my legs had gotten too uncomfortable. I'll try sitting for a while and see how that goes. I did take pain meds just now again. During the night, they brought me some apple juice, my first nutrition since Sunday. I'll check back in later.

Ilse

I found I was more comfortable sitting in a chair than being in the bed while I was in the hospital.  I just could not get comfortable in the bed unless I wanted to sleep.  It was also easier to get out of the chair than the bed.  Hope things go better today.

Good morning Crystal and IL friends.

Well, I made it to work this morning. I did a lot of show shoveling yesterday. Actually twice - once when I got home and then after dinner. I shoveled my driveway and my neighbors as well as the walkway to my house. So when I got up this morning, of course the village plowed me in at the end of my driveway. I had to shovel the hard stuff off onto the street so I could get out.

I'm enjoying a hot cup of coffee now. The roads were better than yesterday. I was surprised and delighted. And now at least, there is no wind either. It's much warmer but that's only for a few hours and then it goes down again.

Hope Ilse and Carla will feel better soon. And Fluffer, what can I say. Hopefully, he got some shelter someone and will find his way home!

I'll be working a short day today and then head on home to spend Christmas Eve by myself. I'll probably watch the Christmas Story on TBS tonight. It's playing for 24 hours starting at 7 tonight.

Hope everyone stays safe, warm and enjoys the holiday.

Hugs and Love,
Lucy

Good Christmas Eve morning to all.

Crystal, Here's hoping you have a good day, stay home and enjoy it.
Ilse, just start looking forward to your new life.
Dee, get all your holiday baking, cleaning and food prep ready for tomorrow.
Michelle, what hospital do you work at?

Its raining this morning, so all the clean snow will be a mess later on. All I am doing today is going to breakfast with my bbf and picking up my DDs suv from the shop. I need to put finishing touches on my buffet for tonight.

Lucy, I hate the thought of you spending Xmas Eve alone. If you lived closer to me, I would insist you came to my house. You are loved by all.

I need to put the finishing touches on a dessert I am making for tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to get to Bloomington.

We did go to dinner last night. I ordered a glass of red wine. I drank about 2 sips of it, and decided I really didn't want it, so DH drank it.
So much for an anticipated drink!

Huggers and Happy Holidays to all!

Hi Lisa. Oh, you're so sweet. Thank you for the invite. I'll be okay. I'm going to my sister's tomorrow morning and then to Mom's for dinner.

I'm just touched by your thoughts.

Huggers back at you!
