Tuesday Roll Call - Da Bears
The cheese was not to let them win with ease,
Urlacher in this game was no slacker,
As the winds were from the Norte,
We saw little from Forte,
Then in the fourth,
Everyone came forth,
To make it a tie,
Believers looked to the sky,
In O.T. it was do or die,
As Gould was Gold.
To all Illinois Obesity helpers may we win our battles as well.
Well, it looks like we are getting dumped on again today/tomorrow. The radio says it is the 5th time this week. Will this ever end? I am susposed to drive to Indiana tomorrow. I sure hope it is snow and not freezing rain!
I hope we hear from Ilse today to let us know how her surgery went. My thoughts are with Carla today as she has her surgery.
Janet you got a wonderful Christmas present with the approval and date for your plastic surgery!
Monica, I hope your son did not freeze too bad at the game last night. It did seem a bit warmer with the wind dying down.
Fluffer is still AWOL. I dont know what to think. The not knowing is the hardest.
One more day to get through at work and then I am off for 5 days! It was really slow yesterday so I am sure today will be the same. Too many places are already shut down for Christmas.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Here we go again another round of foul weather. I'm debating on whether or not to ask for tomorrow off. I usually wouldn't care, but if we are going to get a lot of snow during the night hours followed by ice, I'd rather stay home.
I've got my shovel in the car just in case. I will not get stuck at the hospital. No way!!
I'm excited that Des Plaines got the casino license. YAY!!! It's not far from where I work. Hopefully, this will spurt job opportunities in the area. It will probably draw some of the business away from Grand Victoria.
Today is just a regular work day, finishing up with my regular meeting with the boss.
If anyone heard from Ilse, I'd like to know she is doing.
Wishing everyone a safe and warm day.
Hugs,
Lucy

If you aren't ready for the holidays, you need to get busy. With Xmas Eve tomorrow night, you really need to go into overtime. My best present for this week is that today is the last work day of the week,

Yesterday was not good for me. I nibbled all day on goodies. Today will be better!
It is not snowing at this time. It looks like we got an inch or so overnight. Me Lied! It is snowing like crazy out there. It just started again,
I need to stop and pick up some bbq buns on my way to work today.
Have a safe and productive day.
Huggers
Hello everyone
This is my last day of work for fives days too!!! I'm so happy. My daughter went and did her Christmas shopping last night. I fell asleep before she came home. The snow was coming down pretty steady but the ride into work was fine. I think I'm getting used to driving in the snow again. Today is the company's Christmas lunch.
I head from a old friend this morning. She used to work with me but now she's a RN. I told her about my pending surgery and she was very happy for me. She said it was nice to see me take control of the situtation. So I was happy she had no objections, especially since she is a RN.
Tonight I'm going to stop and do some last minute grocery shopping. Tomorrow I will bake and make my Christmas Eve lasagna. I always make lasagna for Christmas Eve (now its a vegetarian lasagna for my daughter). Then I will get my breakfast casserole ready for Christmas morning (also a tradition and now vegetarian too). Yummy!!!
Nancy- I will be hoping for a Christmas morning gift for you. Your kitty.
Everyone have a nice day before Christmas Eve.
Good morning!
It's my last work day this week and it's anybody's guess how many people will cancel due to the weather! I'll be glad to have a choice whether or not to venture out. I have plenty of yarn so I am set!
Be careful to all of you who are driving today or traveling for Christmas. Be safe!

I am sitting here drinking an achievone, and thinking about Carla, Ilse, and Nancy's kitty. I hope everything will turn out okay.
The next two days are very busy for me, as I will be preparing for Christmas at my home on Christmas day, and today I am going over to church to help my sister get all the bulletins ready for our church services. My sister is the church secretary. We have a family service at 5 p.m. Christmas eve, a children's program at 7 p.m. Christmas eve, and then the candlelight service at 11 p.m. Christmas eve, and then the regular Christmas day service at 9 a.m. on Christmas day. Whew.
I have been eating badly lately, but I am also happy to report that I am in a size 10 pants, and I am still swollen from my surgery, so I can't wait to see what I will be in.
Everyone have a great day!

I was SO happy that the Bears won, since it was Tyler's first ever game to be at. Though both he and my ex froze and spent most of the time by the consessions and in the bathrooms where there were big heater thingies. Tyler still had a good time though. They didn't get home until about 12:45am and Tyler had to be at school this morning at 7:15am for a wrestling meet.
Today I will be at Tyler meet from 9:30am til probably close to 2pm...then come home, mop the kitchen floor, frost the cookies Jacob made yesterday and wrap presents. I am very upset with the weather though as now my parents won't make it for Christmas and this is only the 2nd time in 38 years that I won't spend Christmas with them. Breaks my heart as they are older.
Well everyone have a great day and stay warm and safe
I made it into work today, but 20 was a mess. One car in the middle ditch on its roof. Half a mile down the road, another car in the middle ditch. Then, about another half a mile and a car facing westward in the breakdown lane on the right side of the EAST-bound lane. If I had not been so close to work at that point, I might have turned around. I hope I make it home tonight, I have way too much to do to spend the night in town.
I am supposed to work tomorrow morning (half a day), but we will see how the weather is. The kids are supposed to work at the museum from 11-3, so if the weather is bad at 5:30 am, I may just take the half a day and finish up last minute things, then hopefully, the weather will be OK to bring them into town and we will ALL stay in town until it is time to go to Todd's parents in the evening.
Lisa, you are right, I procrastinated too long and am now paying for it. I am almost ready, but I have to say.........the joyousness of the season seems to be lost in the chores. I feel like I am the only one doing all the work and it is wearing thin on my usual good humor. I must learn to delegate more and MAKE them do their parts.
I am hoping to hear that Ilse is doing well and am thinking about Carla who is having thyroid surgery today. I am thinking of my aunt that lives in Fort Meyers who is having cataract surgery tomorrow. I am also hoping that Fluffer found a warm place to hide out until he feels it is safe to journey home to Nancy.
Where is Paul????
I am wishing the season's joyousness and blessings on each and every one of my OH friends.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and God Bless us Everyone!!!!!
