Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good morning Ilse and the rest of Illinois!

Ilse---you are on your way by now, but I am wishing you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.  I am thinking about you!

Well....I made it throught this last weekend.  Man, was it COLD yesterday!  It was -7 with a wind chill of -34.  I had to go to the store yesterday at about noon, and some of the roads were drifting over.  I stayed in most of the weekend besides that and a short run into Freeport on Saturday.  David drove us home in the snow from Freeport and started to slide on the interstate!!!!  Liv and I were braced for landing in a snowbank, but he got it under control and drove VERY CAREFULLY after that.  It is necessary to let them learn to drive in all conditions, but not with ME in the car!

We got our candles done on Friday, some ornaments and a most of the "gifts in a jar".  Yesterday, I made 3 double batches of the famous caramel brownies (that took most of the day) and we had a nice steak dinner too.  I am almost ready for Christmas!

I have to pick Riley up from her pre-school today as her dad is working late.  I can take her out to our house though, so that will be fun.  Tonight, we need to get Todd's Dish to pass (chicken wings) ready for his company party tomorrow.

The kids are home alone today, and they claim that they are going to get their homework done for the break.  We will see........

That's about it for me......

Eveyone have a spectacular day and STAY WARM!!!!!

P.S.  I am hoping that Fluffer comes home safe and sound.

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning everyone!

Yay Ilse is probably in surgery now or getting really close...how exciting!!  She's in my thoughts and prayers for a very uneventful time.

Today I have alreayd been outside, taking Tyler for bloodwork and then to practice.  I am doing laundry, making cookies and more cleaning today.  I am also going to be taking Tyler to the Pace station in Schaumburg to meet my ex so they can go to the Bears game tonight... CRAZY if you ask me.  I just worry about Tyler getting sick again.

We are supposed to get something like 8" of snow tomrrow...please pray that it doesn't really happen.  IF it does, I'm not sure who will still make it to my house for Christmas Eve!!  I know my parents won't and most likely not my sister from Rockford either...everyone lives far and they wont' drive if it's bad, which is good I guess.

Everyone have a wonderful, warm and safe day today!

Monica

Good afternoon Ilse and Illinois Obesity Helpers,

Ilse I suppose has had her surgery now and I know that all of our hopes and prayers continue with her.

If those of you that pray have some energy left over perhaps you might pray for some folks I know.  A man in his fifties with pancreatic cancer who lives alone and is not currently able to keep down even water and for whom even answering the phone is a chore.  That he might find the energy to call some doctors I have directed him to and that one of them will have the time to see him.  Then that he will have the energy to actually go.  He missed an appointment for chemo this morning.

For many others who need help but are too tied up in the wrong direction to even seek the right direction.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?
