Good morning Connie. I do hear a lot about depression over the holidays, so your experience is news to me. There's a lot of hype about being depresssed at this time of the year.

Have a good time at your knitting open house.

I don't have many packages to wrap. That's OK with me. I'll be enjoying watching my fiberoptic tree, wreath and village scene.

Stay warm too!

Lucy

Good morning Lucy and IL, I am off to my SIL' house for  her Birthday Brunch, The sun is out and look nice but it is cold here -8 that is just too cold ,
Lucy question for you about when you had your TT, I am having mine Jan, 9Th and is there anything I should be doing now to get ready for it? special Diet or anything?
I can't believe the Ins comp is willing to pay for it, I am so happy to have this thing gone,

Not much else going on in my world, Hope everyone stay warm today
Hugs to all

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good morning Janet. I wasn't on any special diet; just made sure that I ate my protein cause that is what you need for healing. You're sure fortunate to have the insurance company paying for it. I had to pay for mine. You're going to feel so good afterwards, when you look at the results. It's remarkable.

Usually you'll get a compression garment to wear. my PS put one on me at my first post-op visit. If you can, get your prescriptions for pain and antibiotic before your surgery. That way you'll have them at home when you come from the hospital. You might have a few drains but they will give you what you need to manage at home.

Take care and stay warm!

Hugs,
Lucy

Now that is a smart idea.  Thirty years of stopping at drug stores after checking out of hospitals when I felt like doing nothing but seeing my own digs again.  Not that I will remember to do it.

Good Morning everyone in Illinois,

I will venture out later today, I need to run to Kmart. But, I will wait until DH gets home with my van, since it will be warm.

The temp is showing -8 here, For everyone ventureing out today, please wear a hat  and gloves. Its to easy to get  frost bitten.

The only thing I have to do today is finish vacumingI finished everything else yesterday. I will be working both Monday and Tuesday, plus, my cousin is coming for Xmas on Tues. No other time to finish the house.

The last time I went to Sam's, I bought a huge bag of shelled nuts. I have used about 2 cups of it and went to get it out the other day to make spicy nuts. I have no idea where I put them! I have been driving myself nuts looking for them. Hopefully they will show up.

Everyone have a great day, and save some time for you.

Happy Hanukkah

Good Morning Lucy and Illinois friends!

Brrr it is cold.  It is -2 here with a wind chill of -30 degrees.  It is hard to keep the house warm in weather like this.  I was going to go to my sisters today to take Christmas presents but we talked yesterday and decided to wait.  I am glad we did that.  They are saying that all north/south roads are snow and ice covered, and some are closed.  On top of that, there are blizzard warnings out.

I am sad today.  My cat Fluffer who escaped Friday morning is still missing.  I do not have much hope for his survival, especially in this weather.  He isn't coming when I call.  I dont think anyone would have been able to catch him.  His feral side just took over on Friday.

On a good note, I tried on a warm robe that I bought 24 years ago and it fits with extra room!  It is really cozy.  It is made with a heavy fleece material.  I had never thrown it away because it was so warm and always hoped I could wear it again.  On a whim today I put it on.  I am glad I did!

Stay warm everyone.

Hi Nancy. I'm not going out at all today. I can see the snow blowing and drifting. Way too cold to go out and take a chance on the roads too.

Sorry that your cat didn't make it home. It's an iffy situation whether or not Fluffer will survive in this freeze, unless someone found him and took him into their home.

Congratulations on being able to wear your warm robe. You'll have more of those WOW days!

Hugs,
Lucy
