Not much going on here everyone have a good day and if you have to get out drive safe,
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
My dog was rolling around in the snow when she first went out, She loves it.

Good morning!
The snow looks pretty heavy in Rockford. The guy who cleans our driveway can't come till noon so I guess we won't be going our anywhere. I was supposed to get my haircut today. Guess I'll be cleaning and such instead. I was up at 3:30 and it didn't look too bad but now it's really coming down.
I wanted to make brown bread (steamed the old fashioned way) for Christmas so I guess that's what I'll do!

What a winter wonderland out there! I called in to work and said no way was I coming in. That is my 4th day of missing work this week but with all the ice, I am so afraid of walking on it. I figure I would rather miss a day of work than spend 6 weeks in a cast for a broken bone.
When I went outside to feed my outdoor cat I saw a snowplow skidding. Made me glad I called in.
Unfortunately on my way back in my feral cat's son that I brought inside as a kitten 2 years ago decided to go outside to see his mom. This is the first time he has escaped. He is scared of his own shadow and so far I have not been able to get him back inside. He hates people so this is going to be an interesting day. Hopefully he will decide that inside is a nice place to be. That is how he became an indoor cat in the first place. He is neutered and declawed so outdoor life is not for him.
Today it is present wrapping for me. Everyone have a warm, safe day! Crystal, I am so glad you are not driving to Champaign today. That is sweet of your daughter to take the train home.

Not too much planned for me today. Just staying home and getting some light cleaning done and a gingerbread house to do with my 4 yo. It doesn't look like we got a lot of snow or ice here. Just a couple inches maybe, although I haven't been outside yet. My kids had school today, just a late start. Today is their last day of finals and last day of school for xmas vacation. DD is a senior and DS is a Freshman. DD is real hard to like these days (love her to death but can't stand the mouth), someone please tell me it gets better lol. I guess its a good time to be going back to work, now that they will be out of school. Good bye quiet house, hello house of the crabby teens!

I stayed home today with my kids. Todd went in, but called to say that it took him an hour to drive his usual 1/2 an hour route and that it was not very good out there. He thought that I should probably stay home as Route 20 is always worse. Besides, my kids are more important to me than money and we can get a jump on our Christmas preparations.
Liv and I (and hopefully David) are going to make some candles today and finish the tree.
I have already had to clean the oven as I had put a couple of candle jars into the oven on low to melt them out and the foil pan they were in turned out to have a hole in it. The wax got all over the oven and I had to take it apart to get all the wax out, but decided to put it on a clean cycle after I put it back together. Now, we are putting up with the smokiness that happens at the beginning of the clean cycle. I cracked a couple of windows and we should be fine.
It is still snowing here (9:35 am) pretty heavy and it is almost blowing sideways. I'm glad I do not have to tackle the drive.

Well kids are home today...of course we didn't know it until after my oldest was up and dressed already. I told him he could go back to bed, but he didn't want to, I did though! LOL The crazy thing is that even though they closed the schools because of the weather, he still has to be there at 3 for wrestling practice. yikes...I don't want to go out in this, but if he doesn't go, he doesn't wrestle in tomorrow's meet. Maybe I can get hubby to take him.
I just plan on baking and cleaning today and doing some homework too.
