Wednesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
The weather is my new enemy. I hate the weather. I have to drive out to Joliet tomorrow for my weigh in. I hope things stay clear until I get home from my weigh in tomorrow. Then I hope it clears up in time for me to drive down to Champaign to pick up my daughter Friday. Last night was slow going but I only got home 20 mins later than I usually do and had no problems. This morning was fine after I left Oswego. Oswego's snow plowing efforts are lacking.
Today is the building's holiday lunch. Tonight after work I have to do laundry. So I was loading up my car with my dirty laundry this morning. Its very treacherous walking down icy, snowy stairs with clothes hampers and then walking through the icy, snowy parking lot with the hampers. I know the landlord should be shoveling this for us. One of these days I'm going to fall and hurt myself. I will be spending my evening in the laundromat.

I am SO glad that I didn't have to go anywhere yesterday evening. Boy did that snow come down. Of course my dogs couldn't get enough of it. I should have been video taping them running around the yard with their heads down shoveling up the snow in their mouths! they are so goofy sometimes.
Today I need to go out and pick up a few things, hopefully the roads are clear by today. I also will be doing some homework and finally putting the ornaments on the tree. that's it for me

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

The weather is really bad. I just heard there is an ice advisory for tomorrow. I hope it doesn't materialize. We are leaving in the morning and I need to pay attention today to the weather for Indiana and Ohio.
I refuse to let the weather mess with my travels to see my family.

Yesterday, it took me two hours to drive home from Bartlett. Normally, it would be about an hour. My DH stayed at wor****il after 8:30 to give the roads a chance to clear up. He is staying home today.
I have my one chance today to stop and get a couple of gifts for my grandkids from my parents. I also hope to get my haircut, maybe colored.
I don't plan on anything tomorrow, except to get home safely.
I canceled my appointment yesterday. It wasn't that big a deal to see the orthopaedic doctor right now.
As my DH got home later, I did actually wrap some gifts. Not all of them, but I did get a start.

I do not envy you one tiny bit for having to go to the laundromat. That STINKS. Please be very careful and safe.
I got to work a little late this morning, but the roads were not really terrible. Just a few slippery spots and one traffic jam on 20 from a van that was in the ditch.
I am out of my decaf coffe here at work and am trying a Swiss Mocha (SF/CF) but it just isn't the same. I will have to go out at lunch to get my "stuff".
I think I am going to stay in town tonight and try to finish up the odds and ends for Christmas.
We finally got our tree up last night and Liv fell down the stairs bringing down decorations. She hit her back on the stairs pretty good and is sore today. I called the pediatrician last night, and he said to ice it and give her Tylenol and that as long as she could breath normally, she should be OK. She says that it hurts to move around a lot and if she takes a really deep breath, but I guess that is to be expected. Hopefully, it will not bother her too long. Todd's back is also "out" or "wrenched" and he is in pain too. Of course, HE won't take anything for it. I just don't understand that. I'm sure anti-inflamatories would help him.
That's about it for my corner of the world......

Hi Dawn, by the time the ice storm hits here we should almost be in WV. It looks like the storm is heading a bit north and east of the way we are going. Hopefully it will be behind us on our way there. Who knows what it will be like when we are due to come home. We will stay as safe as we possibly can. I'm hoping the weathermen are wrong about the ice..........My son says it has been mid 30 to lower 40s and rainy there.
