Tuesday Roll Call

Good Morning to all Ill-er's,

How are you doing this morning?  It seems like we have a nice toasty 3.4 degrees at 4am!   Brrr!

Thank-you for those of you that gave suggestions for my upcoming hospital stay.  I wasn't sure about bringing my laptop.  It is fairly new.  I didn't know if I had to worry about it disappearing or anything.

Yesterday, I gave some small gifts to a couple of people at the school I work at.  One for the principal and one for my supervising teacher.  The supervising teacher told me I didn't really need to give her a gift.  However, she seemed pleased with the two different boxes of microwaveable popcorn I gave her in a snack size.  She likes popcorn as a snack at school.  I gave the principal a sleeve to keep a 16oz water bottle cold longer in the schools blue color and a bottle of scent with the infuser sticks to put in it.  She seemed to like both presents.

My DH is supposed to go to Janesville, WI tomorrow.  I hope the snow clears up well before morning, so he has a safe trip.  He has a car that doesn't do well in the snow at all.  Ideally, the snow would go north of Madison, WI and then we would have no worries.

My liquid protein diet is going well.  I guess on the one-day clear liquid diet the day before surgery, I can't have any sources of protein.

Anyone know if it works to mix SF jello with any protein powders?

I wish you a warm and safe day.

Good morning!
It's going to be a cold and messy day...I have a full day planned.  I need to run to Menards, Kohls, Jewel and Trader Joe's and be home before 11:15.  I watch my granddaughter today.  She is 14 months old and a real handful!!!  I love it.  I hope that everyone has a safe day.  Keep warm!

I forgot to add that I am not really sure that I like the new setup for OH...  It will take some getting use to.

This will likely not be seen by most if you are likeme and tend to read the post and then maybe post and not come back to make sure you have read everything,

When you have a window open there isa place to type a url.  If you click on whatever url is currently there and then type in ob most browsers will shoe a list of urls that you have visited on ob.  In my case the one ending in IL is always at the top.  If it is not you can scroll down to find it and click on it.

Now I will have to go to the ob home page to see what changes have been wrought.

So you have been forgiven?

"ob" sorry what do you mean? Do you mean "OH"?

By the way the new site is not very well layed out. I should not have to go to "MY OH" for all my messages and settings. It should still be the drop down arrow that was here before. I am a person that embraces changes but this time the change they made is lousy. It was fine as it was. I have been through many changes here at OH with the last being the best. This change is "sterile". I have been around for a long time and cannot find my way around. The members were not even given very long to know that there was going to be a change. I just noticed on the main board about 5 days ago that there were changes that were coming. The info should have been posted on each and every message board that something was in the works.

I am not really following you on the URL explanation. Are you talking about the address bar on your PC? If I want to go to different places that are my favorites here on OH I use this sites "bookmarks" feature at the top of the page.

URL is the techie speak acronym for an internet address.  ob is the first two letters in the URL for Obesity Help that are unique and therefore will bring up the list of pages that you have visited on any URL where the first two unique letters are ob.

Kiddo, you talk my head around in circles. Most of the time I do not understand what you are saying.

For most here on the board we go by OH not OB

Good Morning. Can anyone say cold?It is still dark out and I need to go to Walmart before work. DH needs a couple of things and we need ink for the printer. Since Walmart is in Ottawa, and that is where I am starting my day today, I need to leave within the next 20 min or so. I als need to pick up 2 additional gifts for my sister and BIL. They will be at my daughters for Xmas Day for the first time ever. I really think she is mellowing out in her older age.

I am not sure if I like this new OH or not either. I am sure once we get used to it , it will be fine.

Stay warm today, stay safe, I am planning on being home before dark this afternoon. Then I will concern myself with going to work tomorrow, if we get all the snow predicted.

Huggers from a frozen North Central Illinois.

Hello everyone

I hear we may get 4 inches of snow today.  Just in time for the commute back home.  Is it me or does it always seem to work out that way.

Last night my CO detector kept going off.  The first time it went off ever.  So the first time I just reset it, then it went off again.  So I called 911 and had the fire department come out and make sure everything was ok.  The 911 operator told me to wait outside.  So it was 5 degrees out and I just took a shower so my hair was wet.  Needless to say I was freezing.  On the good side I had some good looking men in my apartment...LOL.  Everything was fine and they even changed my batteries.

I got through the day yesterday.  I had to train several people.

Everyone stay warm, drive safe and have good day.
