Saturday Roll Call - Weekend is Here!
Good Morning Lucy and the Illinois early risers.
I see I am not the only one up early and working already. I made bbq this morning to put in the freezer for Xmas Eve, and one batch of peanut butter cookies are in the oven. I am getting all my baking done today, so I can take a tray or two to work this next week, I am only doing 4 kinds this year. Since I agree with Lucy, I don't want them around for any lengh of time.
I have some housework to do, and a few errands to run. Right now the wind is coming up. My porch swing, that didn't get taken down this winter, is really blowing.
We went to a funeral yesterday of a dear friend. We weren't aware that she was being cremated. It was a bit of a shock to see the urn and not a casket.
Lucy, dear friend, look to seeing your mom today as you would any other aquaintance. The old question of "why would you need to know?"
is a great one for not having to answer something. Plus, it turns it back on them.

My dear Lisa, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Funerals are difficult at best... Prayers are coming your way.
I survived mom's visit. It was a long one and took up almost my entire time at my sister's house.
Weather was too dreary, cold and wet. Ughhh!! I want to be on a cruise.

Hello everyone
The weekend is here but I'm still here at work, working overtime. I just found out yesterday I will have a bunch of new people to train on Monday, 9 people to be exact. I'm kind of tired of training people. Not to mention that I'm being treated like a supervisor and have the duties of a supervisor but because of the salary freeze I don't get paid like a supervisor. One of these days when the economy gets better I think I will look for another job.
Oh I got good news. In spite of the holiday season I still mamaged to loose more weight. I'm now down 14 pounds!!! WOOHOO!!! I was really expecting a weight gain.
I have some errands to run today after work. So much for a nice weekend.

Hi Crystal. Congrats on your awesome weight loss success. Sorry to hear that you are working today.
I hear you about the job. I've had my job difficulties, but now it's so much better with great help. My life has done a flip flop. First, my job was awful, I hated it, but I was losing weight and feeling great. No financial woes. Now, I love my job, had regain, have financial woes. and feel awful emotionally.
It's nasty out there tonight. Hopefully you are done with your errands after work.

I need to make spinach dip for Ava's party tomorrow. The spinach is defrosting. DH is working this morning so it frees up my time to get ready for tomorrow.

Glad to hear everyone is doing good!!!! Today is my family Christmas and I can't wait to see everyone. My brother and his whole family is coming from Kentucky and southern Indiana, my lil niece Lili (from China) will be there, she and I have such a bond, I try to call and talk to her at least once every 2 weeks so she won;t forget me. My brother put a pic of her and I up on his frig and on his computer, he said she now will point at the pic and say "Gigi", all the little ones call me Aunt Gigi. Well I need to get off here and get ready to head to Bourbonnais.
Are any of you going to the SIlver Cross Hospital support group Christmas party this wednesday?
