Saturday Roll Call - Weekend is Here!
Good morning Illinois friends! I'm up a bit early today. I already changed my bed linens and started a load of wash.
Drinking some coffee flavored with peppermint paddy. Yummy! I'm watching the end of the original Gremlins movie sitting by the fireplace.
Today is family visitation day. First, I'm going to weigh****chers and then spending the day at my sisters house. My mom is coming over after lunch. It will be challenging for me when she comes over. I'll get through the visit somehow.
Tomorrow is open so far. I have nothing planned. I do have to get the family Christmas Cards still.

Good morning Lucy and Illinois!
I am up with you Lucy. I have to teach a class this morning and need to be there by 7:15. So am eating breakfast and catching up on OH while doing so.
It will be a busy day. After class, I need to go do a blood test. I keep putting it off. Since I am on coumadin I have to get these often and it takes longer to get to the hospital, register and get to the lab than to get the 2 tubes drawn. Just a 45 minute period that I dont always want to spend especially after work.
Then off to the grocery store and more scrapbooking for me this evening.

Good morning Nancy. I don't like blood tests either. You're so right about the time involved to get your test done. I work in a hospital and sometimes, I have to wait a long time.
I bet scrapbooking is a lot of fun and does keep you occupied.

Yeah, it is just the hassle that gets to me. I dont mind the actually sticking. Our lab is pretty good at that and I am used to it. It is the waiting that drives me nuts.
The scrapbooking IS fun but I have waited until the last minute and as it is a Christmas present and I am only up to the kid getting home from the hospital and he is now almost 18 months! Guess what I am doing in all my spare time the next couple of weeks???
It would be nice if I could get the parents to share the pictures faster. They did not share the majority until last weekend. It is of my great nephew who lives in Florida and I have only seen him twice so I dont get the opportunity to do a lot of photos. Makes life interesting.

I don't have that much planned for today. Mostly to stop out at the Good Samaritan Hospital pharmacy to get the heparin. My DH talked out going to a movie as well. I'm not sure about anything else.
Tomorrow, I need to buckle down and wrap presents, as we are celebrating Christmas with the family on Saturday of next week.
I may also want to experiment with protein ice cream. I wonder if I should invest in some of that Mac protein from GNC that Eggface raves about.

Hi Ilse. Eggface tried to make the protein ice cream at the OH event in Los Angeles in October. She wasn't able to do it because the container wasn't frozen enough. Her other recipes were tasty, so I bet her protein ice cream is delicious.
Ummm, a movie. I was thinking about going to a movie tomorrow by myself. A great idea!
I don't have any presents to wrap this year. It's sort of sad, but I'll be ok after the holidays are over.

I am sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee, and I have been baking cookies for DH already. I have been trying to move a stereo that we are giving to goodwill, but I have to do it a little bit at a time due to shoulder.
I may go to my sister's today. She is baking cookies with her grandkids, and I always end up helping as they are only 6, 5, 4, 3, and almost 2. If I don't help, I take pictures, cause it always ends up as a good laugh. Kids icing sugar cookies = Lots of laughs...lol
Tomorrow morning is church, then back home, we are gonna get some nasty weather in the next few days. Snow I can live with, but ice...ewwww

Hi Dee. I love to bake cookies. This year I am not baking any for two reasons, money and I know that I would eat most of them. I really enjoy making them and then making cookie trays to give away to friends and bring to work.
Be careful with moving anything. You wouldn't want to precipitate so much pain that you would need surgery right now!
Careful with the ice too.... Yikes, it's being a careful weekend for you.
